JosephManderley
https://civilization.com/news/entries/civilization-vi-nintendo-switch-console-november-16-2018/ Portable Civ. Between this and Stardew, my life is over. This was probably in the postponed Direct.

Paperclyp
Skeptical about how this will control. Civ is an interesting get though.

Kal-El814
The iOS version of Civ VI is solid, I assume it’ll be similar to that. It can get a little slow on big maps with lots of Civs especially if you’re used to playing it on a fast PC, but it’s absolutely playable. brucoe
I honestly really never liked Civ VI. It seemed like they tried too hard to add a bunch of stuff to the game that made it feel really micromanaging rather than fun. Recently, I bought the full package of Civ V (which I didn't like when it first came out) and started running it, and I've been finding it actually a lot of fun. Wonder if the same thing will happen to Civ VI after they fuck up Civ VII one day?
HardAct
I cant see his running well at all! I love these game, Civilization 2: A Test of time is my alltime favorite game. This will cripple the Switch, it requires a good resolution because everything is so small, just can't see this being a good port at all. I'll wait and see / watch but I'm not sold. Thats a streach . . .
Jason
Interesting development, but my work laptop is about to get upgraded (the current one plays V fine but chokes on VI even with the settings dialed down) and I can install games on it, so I'll probably just stick to that for portable Civ. I'd imagine that's going to be the preferred way to play on Switch given they've already had to make touch controls work for iOS. And actually I could see touch controls maybe being preferable in light of the game's really bad habit of context shifting without warning...I've had so many frustrating instances of selecting a unit, selecting a destination for it, and then moving a completely different unit because it steals the focus to a different unit mid-click. It's also really bad in multiplayer during war because it'll keep shifting you away from the battle you're trying to actively focus on. It’s been a while since I’ve played it but the iOS verion has some of those focus issues as well.
