Recently saw Boiling Point, was really good.
SoberChef
I have yet to see that and keep reminding myself to do so. I did Bear witness to "The Menu" and that was absolutely sensational. Cannot recommend it highly enough!! Which reminds me by the way...

TheLeon
I’m a little surprised that they’re dropping the full season at once again. I figured with the writer’s strike, everyone would be looking to spread out their content. Anyway, really excited for this.

Fizzzzle
I wish this show wasn't on Hulu. I'm already debating on whether to cancel Disney+. I keep Netflix around because there's always something new to watch, even if it's trash like 70% of the time.

It’s one that goes really hot and cold for me, so I only usually have it a few months out of the year.

The talent inheriting those family characters however, JFC what a goddamn episode!!! I'll probably finish later today.

Fuck him and 90% of all the other “celebrity chefs” self important clowns. The Bear was the first time I felt like I could actually share what it was like to have worked in restaurants for 20 years with my wife and family. Show is incredible. SoberChef
Look, I've been a fan of Rick since I was like freaking 10. First chef to open my eyes to so many possibilities of plates, ingredients, and really helped shape my taste in cuisine as well as my palate, but I have to wholeheartedly disagree with this take of his regarding this phenom of a show. Add to it the nigh endless numbers of renowned chefs that have praised the show so much for its authenticity. (Thank you Matty for being a co-technical advisor on the series for that!) Greatoneshere
Another incredible season - the food porn was on point and the constant tension of emotions and stakes running very high continued straight on into this season (with some nice, quiet side episodes for the supporting characters). The family gathering episode was: holy shit. Just next level, was actually hard to watch. A lot of cliffhangers at the end so definitely expecting and hoping this gets renewed for a season 3. More people need to be watching this show. Apparently everyone in this show is always running on fumes at 60mph. Spoiler Just contrast John Mulaney's character to everyone else in that family episode or to the main characters in the present timeline. The speed at which he speaks and interacts with others is like too calm. Everyone needs to dial it back like by 6 and match John Mulaney's character.
_BJ_
Just finished S2 as this is easily my favorite show on television right now. That Christmas episode and the finale...I had to stop myself from crying in front of my wife. The guests stars they got this season were all amazing, especially Carm's mom (don't know if saying the actresses name is considered a spoiler?). 1

TheLeon
Whenever I try to explain why people should watch this show, I quickly hit the limits of my eloquence and just start shouting “Just watch it! It’s fucking great!” 1
SoberChef
I was sitting in bed thinking about the show the other day, trying to encapsulate just how one goes about describing this show. Like, it happens to take place at a restaurant, sure, but that isn't the thing here. It's about people, life experiences, highs & lows matched w/ up & downs that swing like a bi-polar patient. It's about giving a shit while also learning to not give a shit about that which does not matter. It's about acceptance in others & within ourselves to acknowledge & utilize the best in yourself & others while managing shortcomings as well. The episode that really blew his mind was “Forks”, which I agree is a standout episode. He was like “oh, I get fine dining now”.

Greatoneshere
I'm five episodes in and it's another great season of The Bear so far. The first episode was particularly well done being a primarily sonic experience. I do feel the season is taking a little long to build to anything, just waiting for everything to crash down at once and we're sort of just killing time in the meanwhile. Beyond that, the show is as good as its ever been.
SoberChef
That first episode was so moving to the point I was genuinely crying. This show is just SO FREAKING GOOD!
TheLeon
The first episode is really impressive. It’s bold to start your season with basically a 35 minute montage.
