I think she likes making people suffer if she thinks they deserve it. She was pretty ruthless. He's done far worse than this though. The plan they have for Howard is worse than anything she threatened The Kettlemans with and his onboard with that (so far) and he KNOWS Howard. He threatened the Kettlemans himself and that was before he knew they were ripping off poor people. I don't think he feels bad for the Kettlmans but I do think you're right that he definitely was taken aback by how she dealt with them because she sounded like him for a second. I think that's an indicator of things to come, but I think the whole series has been about Jimmy eventually embracing who he is without feeling any guilt about it and one of the last things that is keeping any pretense of deceny about him intact is his love for Kim. Rather than making him a better person, they relationship has only served to make HER a worse person... she's becoming more and more like him. Maybe he'll realize this and break up with her for that reason, but I think their story is going to end up culminating in something worse than a break up. Somthing that will ultimately complete his transformation into Saul Goodman. To be fair, I've been binging the series all weekend so a lot of the signs are really fresh for me, but what really drove this home was the last thing Chuck said to him which was crazy foreshadowing. Don't they deserve it? I was completely on her side and had no sympathy for the Kettlemans. If you're going to use them anyway, might as well be direct about it rather than deal with their unearned holier than thou attitude.

Oh they're pieces of shit for sure, but I'm talking about what Saul might be thinking given the look on his face. I think even though he has no problem screwing them over, he still has some small amount of sympathy for them, and doesn't want to necessarily hurt them too badly. That or the look was because he's worried about what he's turned Kim into.

Like, why did he have a problem using the stick with the Kettlemans? Earlier, when Saul offers his suit to Kim's client, she says "you're too nice" then as well. Might be a theme not sure. Might be a sticking point for Kim eventually is how I see it.

Brick
Spoiler NOOOO! Nacho! I didn't think he'd survive the series, but I was hoping he'd at least last a little longer. Probably should have at least killed Bolsa.

Greatoneshere
Well, I guess I called this one, but it was still super hard to watch. I'm not spoiler warning because this is an up to date thread on the final season - Nacho went out like a boss. It's probably the best ending they could have given him, and I loved every minute of him finally getting to tell the Salamancas how he's felt about them from the very beginning. Loved it. But RIP to a real one. 2

Bloodporne
I'm rewatching this from the beginning because I kind of dropped off at some point despite loving it. Man, McKean as Chuck is such a fantastic role among SO many fantastic roles here. I grew up watching Spinal Tap on a regular basis and it somehow still blows my mind that's him despite having seen him in tons of other shit too. I can appreciate the show even more now without commercial breaks every five damn minutes and man do I appreciate how much it values the viewer's intelligence. 1

There was a scene of Kim smoking in a dark garage and Jimmy walking up to her or something along those lines that could've been an Edward Hopper scene. The cinematography in this AND Breaking Bad are the best I've seen in TV. It's part of the reason why these shows are in my number one and two slots of all time. Very cinematic. 1

Guest
I am a couple of episodes into season 5 and it just makes me depressed that Jimmy can’t see himself as anything other than the con man lawyer. Kim is so good to him and is there to help him go straight, but he just can’t do it. It gives me a little anxiety every time they interact 😂

Spoiler As for the beginning of that final scene I audibly said "Oh my god, Nacho is the only one NOT in Breaking Bad ... this is it!" Yet even still I had a modicum of hope somewhere, blind hope for what it was but since seeing that scene, I have thought of Mando/Nacho constantly since. Talk about leaving a wake in your absence. Brick
Mando better receive an Emmy nomination. He's due for this show. Spoiler His final phone call to his dad was heartbreaking, and that final monologue was top notch. Sad to see him go, but at least Nacho went out on his own terms. Still not sure why he didn't take out anyone else with him like the cousins or Bolsa, other than those people needing to be in Breaking Bad, but from a character choice I don't see why he wouldn't shoot Bolsa and then himself, unless he thought/knew Gus still needed them all alive, and didn't want to piss Gus off, and endanger his father. 1

Exactly this. Bolsa is Gus' patron with Eladio... doing it the way he did it accomplished two things. It removed ANY hint of suspicion from Gus at least in Bolsa's eyes and it allowed him to go out on his own terms. He needs Gus to ensure his father will be safe. Who's to say that Hector wouldn't go after his father out of spite?

Gus said there would be no reason for anyone to go after Papa Varga, but Hector is psychotic, and given that Mike said anyone going after him would need to go through him first, and we saw him take that fake ID with him out of the safe, I'm betting Mike helps Papa Varga relocate to Manitoba.

I hope that happens because after Nacho's saga concluded, all I thought of was Hector thinking they gave him the glass and killing his father anyways. And that would be sad. Greatoneshere
Another stellar episode, although more of a table-setting one. The understandably paranoid lengths of protection Gus has gone to was a great scene in itself.

Well she's the one pushing it, mostly it seems because she just doesn't like him, so . . . though I don't blame them for wanting to get that Sandpiper money, as it was something Jimmy earned.
