Support was dropped with the 2017 models (ie - a C7) and the trade-off was superior near-black performance and superior brightness capability with less-aggressive APL. Rodimus
I was hoping a little for 3D. I have some movies in 3D that are nice. So now I guess 3D movies will be only in my PSVR for now.

Seriously, though, that sucks. 3D is probably dead until glassless 3D is perfected and adopted. When done correctly it's such a good effect, IMO. I am planning on getting a second TV for another room in the house, I guess I'll just make sure that one supports 3D. One more question, is the OLED like Plasma in regards to screen glare/reflections?

One more question, is the OLED like Plasma in regards to screen glare/reflections? I have never personally owned a plasma, so I can't really speak to that, but I can tell you that the LG B7 OLED has a glossy, not matte, screen so it can pick up reflections, but the anti-glare coating on the screen generally does a good job and I've never had any complaints about mine. The only time I see a reflection is if I have a light directly behind me, like my hall light - then I can see it in the screen, but I don't get any glare from the lights above in the same room or the windows from the side when the blinds are up. If you're going to be watching it with a bright window directly across from the TV behind where you're sitting, then an OLED isn't going to be the best choice anyway, because you want something brighter - ie a very bright LED LCD.

I think that the Panny Plasmas didn't even have anti-glare due to their nature. Sounds like it's a LOT better than my plasma in regards to dealing with a well-lit room. The def star
This is the glare of my B7A And this is the glare of my X900F My living room is much brighter than my bedroom where the B7A is. I'd say the anti reflection is much better on the LG but like @nacthenud said it doesn't get as bright as the X900F.

Everything will look fine except for the lighting from my window. Because it is a gloss finish you won't get a smear of lighitng on it like on the Sony. You will only get glare from the light source and won't see it across the screen. Also because OLEDs have a wide viewing angle you can sit at different locations or move the TV to avoid the glare. You will almost always have a great looking image.

Spork3245
Hmmm SO I THINK what I may do is jump on a 65” Q9FN if I see the price drop below $2.3k, otherwise I’ll just wait for HDMI 2.1 OLEDs. I really want to go 75” or larger but two things are stopping me: my entertainment center is one with a built-in mount, and it looks like the largest it can fit is a 65”, and seemingly any replacement also has a 65” limitation for whatever reason. The other thing that is stopping me... the price difference is INSANE. The OLEDs jump up by over $5k to around $9k for the 77”, and the QLED jumps to around $6k for a 75”... the F!?!? Yeah those extra 10" are killer. It's a reason I settled for the X900E. I was able to get a 75" or $2,200 on Amazon. Had a defect on the X900E and Sony warranty replaced it with a 75" X900F because they X900E is discontinued.
Dodger
I'm actually starting to lean toward the Samsung Q9FN as well, though I might still jump on that ebay LG deal you posted if it's still around when I'm ready to move. For me it's between the LG C8, Sony XF900, and the Samsung Q9F. At the end of the day I could probably just get the Sony for 2 grand and be extremely happy and save a few bucks. When I saw the Samsung in action it's definitely brighter than the LG, and it's going to be in my living room in sunny nearly all the time Arizona, so that is a factor. A) LG can't announce a freesync/VRR update via firmware because they don't have the hardware in there to support it. B) Dolby Vision is pretty prevalent in Netflix, Amazon Prime and Vudu content through apps native on the TV, even if you don't have any other hardware capable of sending Dolby Vision to the TV yet. The second TV is some sub-$400 one for when I have company over that will be used once per month at most and will never be replaced unless it literally stops working. The main set is a $2-3k purchase that won’t be replaced for 7-8 years. Why in the world would I buy a set that’s literally going to be outdated via HDMI 2.1 and, most notably, VRR, in just 8-9 months? Furthermore, I am trying to make sure my money is going to the correct set for the money. If you like to piss away thousands every few months on new TVs, good for you. Here’s a tip, if a discussion is going on that you dislike and wish to add nothing to, click on a different thread. Good luck in your future trolling. Actual HDMI 2.1-standard VRR will not be able to be patched in. Freesync will. The question does become “will things that use HDMI 2.1 VRR also use non-HDMI 2.1 freesync” though. So, there is a potential “why even bother” aspect that may occur.

Freesync doesn't allow for HDR though, does it? I thought you needed Freesync 2 for that. And I thought that for 4K HDR freesync 2 over 60Hz you needed HDMI 2.1. But again, I could have bad info on that.
