Commissar SFLUFAN
Myanmar’s military has been accused of genocide against the Rohingya in Rakhine state in a damning UN report that alleged the army was responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity against minorities across the country. And the spineless Nobel committee still won't strip Aung San Suu Kyi of her Nobel Peace Prize.
RedSoxFan9
Kissinger still has his award so I don’t think the Nobel committee has a problem with genocide
Greatoneshere
She should absolutely be stripped of the award. I've wondered why that hasn't happened since I first learned of the genocide of the Rohinga Muslims in Myanmar. Yet, here we are. A damning UN report and little actual action. Cool, business as usual, let's go help Saudi Arabia destroy Yemen and let's go to war with Iran instead.

PaladinSolo
I couldn't believe it when i was listening to a piece on this where they let reporters in to see the areas where these villages were and tried to tell them the Rohingya burned down their own villages... Commissar SFLUFAN
The world was waiting for her to speak. But the day after a damning United Nations report concluded that genocide had occurred in Myanmar under her watch, Aung San Suu Kyi used a public appearance to discuss only poetry and literature. The optics on that alone are so bad I can't even . . . much less the lack of actual empathy and humanity.
Commissar SFLUFAN
Jailed reporters' wives 'devastated' by Aung San Suu Kyi response “Aung San Suu Kyi used to give speeches before I even understood English, and I would always listen to them because I knew the leader of the country was talking,” said Pan Ei Mon, wife of the reporter Wa Lone, as she addressed the press in Yangon. “I loved her and respected her so much, but she said our husbands were not reporters because they violated the nation’s secrets, and I am very devastated by that answer.”
