Jason
China mounts largest incursion yet near Taiwan, blames U.S. for tensions WWW.REUTERS.COM China blamed the United States on Monday for increased tensions over Taiwan, as the island fingered Beijing as the "chief culprit" after reporting the largest ever incursion by China's air force into its air defence zone at 56 aircraft. CayceG
To add context, this is a big deal, but it isn't the BIGGEST deal: Blue is the water and airspace owned and controlled by Taiwan. Everything else inside the blue polygons is international waters that China is allowed to fly through. It's just managed by Taiwan. The funny part is that Chinese aircraft are literally overflying the territorial airspace of the Philippines (in the bottom of the figure). Commissar SFLUFAN
The "less accurate" media organizations keep reporting that the Chinese are violating Taiwan's airspace when they're doing nothing of the sort. An Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) isn't even remotely the same thing as a country's sovereign airspace.

I'm pretty much at the point where I'm gonna swallow my pride and just get a pre-built. When that happens, you're more than welcome to my GTX 1080 as a stopgap.

Air_Delivery
Its funny I bought my 2070 about 6 months before the 3000 series was released because my old motherboard crapped out and I was very tempted to just hold out at the time. I'm glad I didn't

I still have a DVD burner installed that I put into my very first build back in 2009 with Windows 7 RC1. I think that's the only part left at this point that goes back to that first build but it still feels like it'd be not the same to just stick the drive into a prebuilt just so I can say I'm keeping the ship of Theseus going.

Isn’t the point of the ship of Theseus that eventually everything is replaced

TheLeon
Other than buying way too many games from Steam sales/Humble Bundles, I never really appreciated most of the benefits of PC gaming, so at this point I’m just going to give up trying to stay current with hardware and stick to consoles for new games. finaljedi
I scooped up a pre-built from micro center a couple months ago. First prebuilt computer I’ve had that’s not a laptop since 2004. With video card prices being about half the cost of a prebuilt it’s about the only way to go at the moment

Seems like a Steam Deck would be perfect for you to play all those indies lol.

I love the idea of the Deck, but the only thing that would be more wasted on me than a gaming PC is a handheld gaming PC.
Anathema-
If I set aside any money for pc gaming hardware it'll probably be a stream deck, but I want it now. Chances are I'll just get an oled switch when I can.
