Mr.Vic20
Really happy to see both Xe and XeSS coming to the market! The more competition the faster this kind of feature set will become standard, regardless of flavor.
Dre801
If it delivers, my next GPU might be Intel.

EDIT: Think of it as another Red vs. Blue.

crispy4000
In summary, it's not as good as DLSS 2.32 overall (newer versions exist). But other than some occasional flicker patterns and aliasing issues, it's quite close. Anyone with an NVIDIA card will want to stick with DLSS. But there's now a larger question of FSR 2.1 vs XeSS on AMD hardware (including consoles), both in quality and performance. DF did say XeSS will look at its best on ARC cards, as tested. So were those rumors of Intel shutting down Arc true? Because the question becomes kind of relevant if these GPUs are on a clock. I feel like I've seen multiple claims that Intel is already shuttering it all after their C series or something.

At least the current rumor seems to be originating from moore’s law is dead, and there is a known AMD bias and history of things not being true there so who knows. Dre801
A good first effort from Intel. I genuinely don't want Intel to give up. I'd like a third horse in the race for the long haul.
crispy4000
We Tested Intel's XeSS in Shadow of the Tomb Raider XeSS on Multiple GPUs | Tom's Hardware WWW.TOMSHARDWARE.COM Benefits Pascal and later, RDNA 2 and Arc — most of the time Death Stranding also got a XeSS patch today. crispy4000
For those still slumming it with me: On a 1060 at 1080p, XeSS' Performance mode runs just a little worse than FSR 2.0 Balanced. Sounds like AMD is still the winner for older cards. Nice to see a 1060 get to run the game at 60fps at 1440p-ish regardless.
