Commissar SFLUFAN
Earlier this year, CDPR contacted PC modders about working with them on this update: The Witcher 3's Next-Gen Update Might Be Using Some Fan-Made Mods KOTAKU.COM The Witcher 3 is getting a next-gen re-release later this year, and when it does, some of the “visual and technical improvements” it introduces might actually be thanks to the work of fans in the modding community. Best
I beat this game twice. I don't care if it looks like a CGI movie I'm not interested. Fuck CDPR, too!

AbsolutSurgen
I played through Witcher 3 with a previous version of those mods. They were a dramatic improvement, but it's going to need a lot more than that to look like a current gen game.
legend
There is little doubt that I will replay one of my favorite RPGs of all time in next gen mode with RTX, 4K, and HDR.
Dre801
I actually have never played this. I own the game, but it's been backlogged for a long time.

TheLeon
I played TW3 for maybe 20 hours back when it first launched, then I had some trouble with my save files (honestly don’t remember the details) and didn’t feel like replaying. Now it’s been long enough, I could see myself playing through it with this update.

AbsolutSurgen
Witcher 3 is a lot like the recent Assassins Creed games. Except with better writing, easier combat and worse graphics.

Bloodporne
Hardest I ever fell off a game somehow. Novigrad bored me to absolute death and I really, really liked the whole Baron and bog witches quests. By the time I sailed to Skellige (sp?) I had zero interest in the game left despite how much I enjoyed it initially. Might try to pick it back up with this update.
Moa
Velen and the baron were definitely the high mark but I really liked Skyrim Skellige as well.
Mercury33
Yeah Skellige had some pretty cool and interesting quests as well. Plus at that point the narrative was really picking up steam and I was pushed to find out what happened next.
AbsolutSurgen
I thought Toussaint was by far the best area. They put a lot more variety into the combat, and made some of the bosses challenging.

Commissar SFLUFAN
The Witcher 3's free next-gen upgrade has been delayed until 2022 | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Why am I crying in the tub right now? Quote "Based on recommendations supplied by teams supervising the development of both games, we decided to postpone their releases until 2022," a statement from the company on Twitter read. "Our current target for Cyberpunk 2077 is the first quarter of 2022, and second quarter of 2022 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Apologies for the extended wait, but we want to make it right." Commissar SFLUFAN
It appears that the next-gen version was being developed by Saber Interactive Russia, and therefore CDPR decided to end the relationship for obvious reasons.
