Commissar SFLUFAN
I think claiming that Mayor 9/11 even "practiced" law to begin with is a rather generous use of the verb.

Probably pretty satisfying knowing that his legacy would have been secured if he'd just fucked off 18 years ago and took money to make speeches, but instead he decided to repeat deranged conspiracy theories in a parking lot across the street from a porn shop with the world watching. He's not the sharp litigator who beat the mob or the mayor during the worst attack on the United States, he's the old guy who got tricked by Borat and who screamed about communists infiltrating the election while sweat mixed with hair dye pours down his face. 1
Fizzzzle
G. Robert Blakey and John McClellan destroyed the mafia by creating RICO. Giuliani specifically requested a demotion to be the federal district attorney of New York City because he knew a bunch of mob bosses were going to go down and he wanted to be the one to convict them so he could become famous. The feds had been building cases against the mafia for a long time before Giuliani got there. Shit, Donnie Brasco went undercover 7 years before Giuliani had anything to do with anything. He was basically the guy that came in and stole the kill at the last minute and then pretended he did all the work. (yes, I'm bored right now)

thewhyteboar
That's always been the crazy thing about those staunch Trump defenders: Trump doesn't give a flying fuck about anyone who isn't him. All these dorks are debasing themselves to give fealty to a hairy wet turd who doesn't even care if they live or die.
stepee
I mean, maybe all he cared about really was being famous and people talking about him. Money won’t be a problem obviously, and maybe he just doesn’t care about his legacy and figures he will die soon anyway so he just wants to enjoy the fame. So, don’t worry he might still be living a fun happy life.

He probably doesn't even care if it's a good story, or if it's all that accurate. I got this impression of him from the 911 exposure he got after that incident. What he did during this time was admirable, but it was momentary and not something that you should be able to latch onto for a lifetime of accolades. However, he got tons of hurrahs from that incident because he was at the right place at the right time and seemed like the rational adult in the room at a time when people were running off half cocked. He has literally spent the rest of his life trying to recapture that moment, humiliating himself because he never really had the ability to do anything noble enough to regain that attention considering that 911 was an incident that just happened, and you can't recapture fire or manufacture disasters that require you to be in the right place at the right time.
