b_m_b_m_b_m Posted June 10, 2021 Share Posted June 10, 2021 The point is this infrastructure, if built, is a sunk cost that makes it harder to transition from carbon to low carbon energy. Similar to how we really don't build coal power plants anymore and those that exist are being converted to natural gas and most new power coming online is renewable.
