Jason
Nothing to worry about that a mapping company has to add a top-level layer to show you where all the fires are. Google Maps tracks global warming with new “Fire” layer, tree canopy tool ARSTECHNICA.COM "Fire" will be a top-level layer just like traffic, satellite, and transit maps. Fizzzzle
PSA: scorpions loooove bedsheets. My sister had a bit of a scorpion problem when she lived in Austin. They didn't really bother anyone, but they did love to burrow in the bedsheets by your feet. They're mostly harmless, though. I normally don't like killing bugs anyway, but there isn't much you can do to kill a scorpion, unless you have a spare dictionary lying around or something. I actually think they're kind of cute in a way

Kal-El814
Don’t worry, we’re working on solutions to help decarbonize the shipping sector. Miraculous that the world was mapped before these… boat kites… were invented.

Ricofoley
December 20th is the record latest snowfall for Chicago-O'Hare and tonight is the only precipitation forecast between now and then, and it looks like it's going to stay in the "wintry mix" range. Fizzzzle
I mean, yeah, but also the poles are subjected to really wide temperature variables. Not saying you shouldn't be alarmed about somewhere in Alaska hitting nearly 70F in December, just also saying that the poles do not act like our normal weather systems. Reaching a random spike of warm weather in the winter or a random deep freeze in the summer is not totally weird.

PaladinSolo
Been in the 40s/50s for the last 4 days then dropped to a high of 20 which is a normalish temp this time of year, but it's supposed to go back up to the 40s tomorrow and we've only gotten like an inch of snow so far. Last year by this time we'd had a record smashing 40 inches of snow followed by 50s and 4 inches of rain, so clearly things are stable.
