General Gaming Can we just appreciate that we have mostly moved on from save points?

Oh! I was too many Souls games deep at this point and always frantically click R3 to see if I can lock on to a new creature first to determine whether I should attack or not.

I remember seeing that first in The Last of Us. It tells you right on the pause screen when the last save was.

SquareEnix had to be different.  You get one slot for a cloud save you must copy to from the main menu.  Delete the game and forget to upload?  Sorry, your save is gone for good.  In fact, all of them.  Kaput.

 

Not too big deal if you know.  But wanting a fresh install for Moguri mod made me realize my prior save was toast.

 

 

For some of their games it's recommended to disable cloud saves to avoid saves getting corrupted. You're probably better off doing that and manually backing up the save folder each time you play.
