Remarkableriots
Tired of having a mess in the microwave from making soup or chili so any safe suggestions for a cover? I was thinking a glass plate set possibly.

For me it's either been saran wrap or wax paper. My dad even used to put bowls in the bags cereal came in (which is basically like wax paper). ThreePi
If I'm heating up something in a microwave bowl its probably got its only lid that comes with it that I just rest on top (don't snap it down). If not, I'll use a paper plate instead.

But for the same cost of one roll of paper towels you can get a plastic microwave cover like what Jason posted and use that forever. RIP A wet paper towel is better because it locks in the moisture and doesn't dry out your food. Plastic leaks chemicals into your meal. Fizzzzle
I have a microwave, but I have to go down a lot of stairs to get to it and all the way back up again, so I don't use it often. I just eat leftovers cold like the ultimate sadboi I am.

I wanted to go there but didn't want to come off as "shitposting". But yes! Microwaving is lame!! If meals are going to be reheated I design that into the cooking so it tastes great done in the stove or an oven.
