CastlevaniaNut18
Didn’t get a ton of reading done on vacation, since we were so busy. Im finally getting into The Talisman and it’s getting good. Also reading Denali’s Howl by Andy Hall for my nonfiction.
EternallDarkness
Have King's Fairy Tale on standby and will likely start it in the next couple of days once I finish a few others I am working on that come out next month. Really loving Just Like Magic (an absolutely crazy Christmas rom com) and The House at Phantom Park (creepy horror novel set in an old English army hospital). EternallDarkness
Anyone go nuts during this past weeks audible sale? I've never seen a sale where everything is on sale including preorders. The discounts were insane.
EternallDarkness
Finally got around to reading My Best Friend's Exorcism so now I can check out the new Amazon Prime movie.
CastlevaniaNut18
Finishing up The Princes in the Tower by Alison Weir for my nonfiction. For fiction, I'm bouncing between The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager, The Final Revival of Opal and Nev by Dawnie Walton, and The Road of Bones by Christopher Golden. EternallDarkness
Just finished Last Man Standing by Craig Falconer (comes out next week) and it was awesome. Think The Martian on a space station, but throw in terrorist, a massive conspiracy, a smart parrot, and the fate of the world hanging in the balance. CastlevaniaNut18
The Institute was so good. Ranks high up there on my SK list. Still reading Russia by Beevor and my current fiction is The Haunting of Maddie Clare my Simone St James. Gotta get my spooky reading for October. TheLeon
I’m reading Blood, Sweat, and Chrome, about the making of Mad Max: Fury Road. It’s mostly just a long version of one of those oral history articles, but it’s full of incredible quotes. I knew some of the broad strokes of the backstory, but the details are fascinating. CastlevaniaNut18
Finished Maddy Clare today and also read The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware over the last couple days. Now gonna read John Grisham's newest, The Boys from Biloxi.
CastlevaniaNut18
Finished up Russia by Antony Beevor. Gods, what a brutal time. I didn't realize it was as horrific as it was. At least not to that level of detail.
Zaku3
I finished book 7 of the Seige of Terra. It's Blood Angels focused so I decided to listen to Fear to Tread afterward. Pretty good idea since it's Oct and the book focuses on Chaos daemons. Decided to keep that spirit going by re-listening to Know No Fear. Dan Abnett is a treasure. I might take a break from Warhammer and check out some of the history or socialist theory audiobooks I have in my backlog.
CastlevaniaNut18
I just started Unthinkable by Jamie Raskin for my nonfiction. Reading I Remember You by Yrsa Sigurdardottir on my Kindle.
CastlevaniaNut18
Edge of Eternity by Ken Follett. I've been doing a bad job at just sticking to one fiction and one nonfiction lately.

CastlevaniaNut18
Apparently I now have a compulsion to have something going on my Kindle at all times. So I started Bull Mountain by Brian Panowich last night. I like reading in bed when the husband is already asleep. And my Kindle comes in handy when I'm in the stand waiting for the deer to show up. Take Warhammer fantasy the Empire is the Holy Roman Empire during the early Reneisance. The only way to make that grim darker was to add Chao, Skaven, Orcs, beastmen, and vampires. Listening to The Master of Mankind and trying to read With our Backs to the Wall. The cancer scare has made focusing a bit harder then normal and I tend to find myself surfing the internet even when the sites I visit have nothing interesting to offer. I need to make a mental note to force myself to read. I should try to use the kindle app on my phone. I have a Dr appointment today so maybe it might be a good idea to take my laptop with me for reading.

gamer.tv
About 600 pages into The Mirror and the Light and it’s compulsive. None of the trilogy have been easy going - but I am fully invested in this semi-real world of Henry XIII and Cromwell. Though I’m looking forward to reading some children's books soon (Eragon, Boy at the Back of the Class, How to Train a Dragon, Inkheart) to keep up with what some of my pupils may progress to this year. gamer.tv
Finished The Mirror and the Light and now I feel like there’s a gulf in my life…great series. I read How to Train a Dragon in an evening and enjoyed it (though not world changing) and now thing out Inkheart. So far, interesting…but has similar vibes to Phillip Pullman, but that may be down to the translation.
CastlevaniaNut18
One By One by Ruth Ware Like Lions by Brian Panowich Still working on Jamie Raskin’s book, but there’s only so much Jan 6 stuff I can take in one sitting. I’m over halfway done, though. Just been busy lately, plus gaming more.
