And people hinging 2020 over whether she exists are weird. That said, after two failed attempts at the presidency, I'm not surprised nobody wants her running again. I voted for her enthusiastically and I'd rather she stay out of it completely. There is always a good reason for the double standard

If they're sized properly they're comfy as fuck, they make you look taller and they look cool (I guess the last one is debatable). edit: I never did get the point of cowboy hats though. In my experience almost no one in agriculture actually wears cowboy hats while working. Cattleman do wear cowboy hats to events but in the field they'll just wear a baseball cap. Grain farmers don't wear cowboy hats under any circumstance. That's from Canada though I'm not sure how it is in the USA. I knew a lot of real cowboys, ranchers and bull riders, and a chuckwagon racer. None of them would wear cowboy boots or hats unless they were riding/working/competing. I grew up on a ranch, I own cowboy boots (not hats though), and use them to ride and work plenty. They are very functional. They also make you look like you are straight out of 70's porn. Throw in a mustache, and you got Debbie does Montana.

b_m_b_m_b_m
I don't understand the Beto mania at all. No compelling life story, no solid policy positions, no great legislative history. He's somewhat charismatic and has that hope-y change-y vibe Obama had, maybe has some "get a beer with him" factor, and did well for a Democrat in Texas, but that's it? On the whole, I don't see a lot that makes him stand out.

On the whole, I don't see a lot that makes him stand out. I think some Dems believe he can turn Texas blue. Also, because he seems like a harder target for Trump to attack. Those are all terrible reasons to support a candidate, but this country doesn't exactly have the best track record on these things.
PaladinSolo
I think the thing people are missing is just how engaged dems have been and continue to be, these numbers these candidates are bringing in are nuts a year out from the first primary... I still don't think he should be President. He would make a good VP though. Basically a younger Biden.

Buttgieg would be a great VP mostly due to his age at this point.
SuperSpreader
There needs to be one tough guy in the group. Beto+Tough Guy, Gillibard+Tough Guy I think if Clinton had picked someone who wasn't Kaine she would have won, not just the PA fuck up. The "tough guy" needs to be on the top of the ticket so he/she can make Trump look weak and small during the debates. Beto had 47 opportunities to make Cruz look like a cuck on stage and refused to do it.

Obama practically walked over Alan Keyes into his Senate spot after his original opponent dropped out when it became known he tried to drag Seven-of-Nine to creepy sex clubs. I personally think they’re the dumbest looking things to wear when you’re not doing work. I see people roll into stores and restaurants with their cowboy boots and cringe. The only way I’d wear a pair is for Halloween. But actual farmers i see dont dress like cowboys. It’s always the people who are “country” without the typical cowboy job.
