Kamala Harris said she will decide whether to run for president during the holiday season — setting the stage for an announcement from one of the Democratic field’s most highly anticipated 2020 contenders as early as the next several weeks. “It will ultimately be a family decision,” the California lawmaker told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski during the “Know Your Value” event in San Francisco on Saturday evening. “And over the holiday,” Harris said, “I will make that decision with my family.”

Sanders has said if he feels he's the best candidate, he will run (so his run is dependent on the field).

Even his tepid meaningless "resistance" to Trump is going to make him dead in the water in the primaries, and even if by some miracle he makes it out of the primaries, everybody else is going to hate him for being a flaky phony. CitizenVectron
Not that it matters since I'm Canadian, but I'd be down for Harris over Trump (obviously). But I want an avowed progressive candidate first and foremost. The US needs to tackle three big things if it wants to survive: 1) Global warming (national carbon tax) 2) Universal health care 3) Income & wealth inequality (through tax reform increasing taxes on the rich and decreasing for the middle and poor)

I don't know much about Harris but the current default position is literally anybody over Trump. 538 put together a list in October. One metric that won't decide my vote but that I really want to see in a Democratic candidate is that they're not in their late 60s-70s. Bernie is 77, Biden is 76, Warren is 69. I like all of them to various degrees, but I'd much prefer someone in their 50s. Harris will absolutely run, and I'd be fine with her.
