LFG, Texas! It's not a bad start. Remember Beto did too though and ended up losing. What would really help Biden is shrinking the rural margin even slightly. But it's a good sign! So far in the suburban counties that Trump won by 5-15%, Biden has improved by around 5-10% over Clinton. So that's good news. Biden seems to be slightly overperforming Clinton in Harris County so far (1-2% higher), but the overall turnout there was massive, so that means he will run the numbers up. Massdriver
@sblfilms, so far I'm not seeing the margins shrink in some of the rural counties, so it may be up to the suburbs and cities.
Guest
One of the other things we can also say affirmatively: Johnson voters would have been HRC voters if they had used their brains. In just about every place you look the 3-4% Johnson got seems wholly in the Biden category. That’s how Biden is over performing HRC even in places where Trump is getting a near identical vote share as 2016.

Fortunately the rural counties are collectively smaller than Harris almost by itself! We can see crazy stuff with just the 5 big metros improving, and the rural counties holding their same margins.
