CastlevaniaNut18
Bernie just writing off Florida's 29 electoral votes. I just can't get behind him.
Joe
Cuban-Americans don't even represent a majority of Hispanics in Florida. Also, he was going to probably lose their vote anyway.
Anathema-
It's so fucking weird how people can have real concerns about how the things Bernie says might negatively impact his chances at getting elected is met with nonsense like "LOL Obama kinda said the same thing let's CANCEL HIM" as if that were anything like the problem anyone is talking about. Dismissing concerns is not the same thing as addressing them; describing how you personally stopped worrying about a real problem doesn't answer the question of how we deal with it. Getting a regurgitation of policy positions instead of anything that approaches thoughtfulness is nothing more than pathetic fanaticism. Joe
Obama won Florida despite losing the Cuban-American vote there. Trump fared only 2% better than Romney. They are not the reason why he won the state.

True, but the skew is still Republican-leaning among younger Cubans. Bottom-line to the Democrats: forget the goddamned Cubans and concentrate on the other Florida Latins and African-Americans/Afro-Caribbeans. 2

SaysWho?
Gillum did better than any Democrat running for governor in Florida since they last won the seat in 94.

Something like this- Arizona had a governor's race in 2018 that the Democratic candidate lost after some kind of pro-socialist message. This was after electing Sinema in 2016. There's no lock there and losing Arizona on that map means president trump 2.

Jwheel86
Voted early today, as I came out an elderly couple was still trying to figure out who to vote for but said "No one with a lick of age on them will vote for Bernie, if he wins we're done." CastlevaniaNut18
That's assuming Democrats can take back those Rust Belt states they lost in 2016. The path to a Democratic win feels pretty damn narrow.

Massdriver
Sanders talks about Finland as more representative of his democratic socialism, but goes way out of his way to say that there were good aspects to an authoritarian regime.
