It gives a viable centrist/center right option other than Biden for round two of voting at the convention. Right now it is helping Bernie. That said, there's three big problems with him getting on the debate stage now, and one decently good argument for letting him on: Let him on: he's spending virtually unlimited money on his propaganda without any real push back. Keep him off: he's spending virtually unlimited money on his propaganda. This is bad for democracy. They changed the rules for a guy buying his way on, but not for those diverse candidates who had some, but not great support from a while back. Lastly and most importantly, there is a genuine fear that Bloomberg is setting the foundation of the third party general election campaign should Bernie or Warren win the nomination because while they differ in very important ways, they both represent, and I assume would continue to push for, a genuine threat to Bloomberg's (and other billionaires) personal power and fortune

Ricofoley
I'm definitely inclined to listen to election advice from a man who got 0.6% of the vote share in Iowa in 2016.

The point of Bidens pitch is Republicans will have a change of heart after Trump and work with him for the good of the country, which we all know is just goddamn stupid, and the Republicans are saying it out loud that they won't work with him, they want to get rid of him
