Candidates are going after the media and Congress about the latest scandal involving Trump, Ukraine and the whistleblower.

When a Fox News reporter asked Biden about whether he talked to his son about whatever Trump is talking about.

So basically M4A polls badly when you lie about it and don't add context

What is Warren’s proposal to pay for M4A? Does she plan to pay for it somehow without raising taxes in some capacity?  I’m more familiar with Bernie’s plan.

Just curious as to how the third way’s poll is lying about/decontextualizing the policy. (seriously curious, not snarky curious)

Warren's framing has always been you'll pay the same or less in taxes than you do in premiums. She just won't give the soundbite that she's for  increasing taxes. Bernie has been upfront about how to pay for it by raising taxes, and he's not afraid to say it, to his credit, but he also makes the same point.

Leaving out this context is a lie by omission. It's like describing the ACA as the government forcing you to purchase health insurance, without giving the context of subsidies/expanded Medicaid/better coverage and protections etc.

Wanting to know how M4A will be paid for is just as fair as wanting to know how a GOP tax cut will be paid for.

Only that the money is already being spent in the US. This country already spends a whole ton more on healthcare than any other country on the planet. It just devotes a larger portion of that toward for-profit medical insurance and administration than other nations. This really shouldn't be hard to figure out.

Which is why I don't think it's a lie of omission. Yes, technically your taxes will go up, but she's correctly assessing that the average voter is too stupid to process anything more than the soundbite of "I'm raising your taxes".
