The eardrum may be red and bulging if there is an infection. Amber liquid or bubbles behind the eardrum are often seen if fluid collects in the middle ear. I think the doc said they didn't really see anything but there was some esophageal inflammation or something. I can't really remember. I feel high AF right now. I guess they might. I think they are going to be testing something and then maybe something will happen then. I was far too out of it when the doc was talking to me. Bacon Posted May 18, 2021 Author Share Posted May 18, 2021 ESOPHAGUS FINDINGS: A circumferential patch of abnormal mucosa was found in the mid esophagus and distal esophagus. Biopsies were taken in the proximal and distal esophagus for eosinophilic esophagitis. The GE Junction was noted at 40cm from the incisors. The GE Junction appeared normal. STOMACH FINDINGS: Mild chronic gastritis (inflammation) was found in the gastric antrum. Cold forcep biopsies were taken at the antrum and angularis to evaluate for h. pylori. Retroflexion of the stomach was performed and revealed no abnormalities. DUODENUM FINDINGS: Mild duodenal inflammation was found in the duodenal bulb. The scope was then withdrawn from the patient and the procedure was terminated. Vital signs were monitored constantly throughout the procedure. ENDOSCOPIC IMPRESSIONS: 1. Circumferential abnormal mucosa was found in the mid esophagus and distal esophagus; Biopsies were taken in the proximal and distal esophagus for eosinophilic esophagitis 2. The GE Junction was noted at 40cm from the incisors 3. Chronic gastritis (inflammation) was found in the gastric antrum 4. Duodenal inflammation was found in the duodenal bulb RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Await biopsy results 2. Discharge home when standard parameters are met 3.
