    Ok maybe I haven't come across any of the irrelevant sections yet, but every non Spiderman section I have played so far definitely moved the plot forward if nothing else. I haven't finished the game yet so maybe I just haven't come across one of the ones you're talking about yet?

    Yes that's right... Scott Free aka Mr. Miracle was from New Genesis and was "raised" on Apocakalips, and Orion was Darkseid's son but was raised on New Genesis. I don't know a lot about The New Gods but I know that.

    FF7 was the game that brought me into the series... FF8 was the one that chased me away, never to return.

    That's the best way to go into it... keep them low and you may find some entertaining moments in there. MAY.

    Yes I agree as well. Short and sweet and narratively, pushes the story forward.

    The Adrian Brody one wasn't as fun as this, but it was a better movie. This one went through such an edit grinder that it's legit hard to follow especially in the third act.

    Played Spiderman and SCUM today... tried to get in some Shadow of the Tomb Raider but ran out of time.

    I quit the show somewhere in the middle of season 3. Never looked back.

    I got mine today and installed it and was about to play but I had to download a 7 gig update. By the time that was done I had to leave. Will try tomorrow

    It's entirely possible... I haven't played that game in YEARS. I could be thinking of the third game.

    I was going to make this same point. Also I don't think you could chain as many moves to keep your momentum going in that game as you can in this one. Maybe my playing Sunset Overdrive prepared me for the traversal philosophy in this game, but I definitely don't think Spiderman 2, as good as it was, compares to this game.

    The world and gameplay for this game definitely suits the battle royal format, I played an early demo of this on PS4 awhile back... hopefully its improved. I love the base game and look forward to the sequel.

    Does the narrative in games explain why characters like Nathan Drake or Lara Croft or other non superpowered protagonists routinely shrug off wounds that would maim, kill or permanently cripple a normal human being? There's certain license that devs take for gameplay reasons to make a compelling game from a gameplay standpoint that may not always be consistent with the narrative aspect. Once you identify what those are, you move on a play the game. This isn't a new issue and has been around for as long as games have been a thing.

    Yeah that's Icon's story basically...he came to earth as a child as well, but was found and raised by black slaves in the South.

    Lol I remember that! I tried to explain to him what really inspired classic Supes from the creator's own mouths... nope. Fun times.
