Looks like Xander Bogaerts is headed to SD. I’m really going to miss him and had hoped he’d resign with Boston. But 11 years and $280 million is a helluva deal. Long time for a guy who will be 30 by opening day.

I've acquired my collection from a lot of places over the years. Local stores, eBay, trades with online peeps, pawn shops, etc. My retro collecting days are mostly over. Now I just bask in the glory of my collection.

My reading has seriously taken a back seat to gaming since Ragnarok came out. I really haven't gotten much done. Still working on Let the Right One in, but I also started Viking: Blood and Blade by Peter Gibbons. Thought maybe an action packed book might jolt me out of my slump. I've still read 106 books on the year, a new record for me.

I'm with Kab on this one. Both religions fucking suck and I don't feel like bending over backwards for them. Doesn't mean I hate Muslims or I'm afraid to share a plane with one.

To be fair, I grew up hunting and shot my first gun when I was 6 and I turned out fine. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with that. But the gun nut culture of today, yeah, that's different.

I did make a post about it in one of the more progressive book groups I’m in(they love this author), but so far, everyone who has responded has said roughly the same.

Pretty sure next time I visit Boston, I’ll be going to TD Garden. I think it would be cool to see a hockey game in person. Been to quite a few MLB games now, but no NBA or NFL. Though I think I care about NFL the least in person.

I mean, I liked her as a kid because she was in a lot of stuff back then. Then I realized she was nuts as I got older. Either way, cancer sucks.

I confess, I loved The Mighty Ducks movies as a kid and I thought it was a cool sport. But growing up where I did, I wasn’t an option for me. Anyway, here I am at age 35, deciding I wanna watch some games and damn, this is a fun sport. I regret not getting into it sooner. Guess I’ll be following the Bruins, given my affinity for New England sports, plus I’m at least somewhat familiar with that team since I follow a couple NE sports websites.

I’m close to halfway through and I think I’m gonna have to set it aside for a bit. I just can’t really get into it. It’s been a struggle to read 130 pages over the last week+. There’s just nothing really going on.

I liked the first one overall, the second was a mess and I haven’t gotten around to the third yet.
