  1. God of War Ragnarok - PS5 Far Cry 6 - PC Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS5 Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Switch Super Smash Bros Ultimate(Adventure mode) - Switch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: The Manhattan Project - NES Batman: Arkham Origins - PC The Quarry - PS5 Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - PS5 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge - PC Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim - PC God of War Ragnarok - PS5 11 games, but 110 books(I'll likely add on a couple more by the end of the year). Guess I know where my priorities lie these days.
  2. I think I’m finished. Much like the previous game, I just can’t seem to beat the Berserker King. Too many attacks I can’t seem to dodge. I even have it on the easiest difficulty. Other than that, I believe I’ve completed everything. Spent 56 hours with the game.
  3. I don't much think about that. I'll just play whatever I have whenever the mood strikes me.
  4. Beat it last night. Yep, this is going in my top 10 of all time. 10/10, just about perfect on every level. I’m still gonna keep playing to wrap up a few things. I did just about everything prior to finishing the main story. Just need to finish off the berserkers and close the remaining Hel Tears. And those remnants that popped up after the end.
  5. Working on two novels right now. Fairy Tale by Stephen King and Take My Hand by Dolen Perkins-Valdez.
  6. I took his last name. I honestly hated my last name growing up and his is a common and boring one, so I was all too happy to take it.
  7. Your mom may be a piece of shit, but I have no doubt her horror stories are true. I could write a book. Don’t get me wrong, my career has certainly has had its rewarding moments over the years. I still feel like I’m doing some real good even now. But so often it feels like a losing battle. Like I’m drowning. And I’m not the outlier in this field. Even when I want to do my best and have great patients, it’s still so freaking hard because we are so understaffed and our cries to administration fall on deaf ears.
  8. Looks like Correa to the Giants for 13 years and $350 million Jesus Christ .
  9. I’m typing in a hurry, but perhaps that wasn’t entirely the correct term. Just that the reactions in this thread reek of ignorance of the reality of healthcare and I get really bad vibes. My burnout is making it worse.
  10. No one really knows what happened in this particular instance, since the hospital is bound by privacy laws and can’t divulge what led to this particular patient being kicked out. But you have two long time health care workers explaining the situations that typically lead to patients being given the boot, but we still get shit on. Mmmkay.
  11. I guess the frontline workers being abused by these “vulnerable” members of society can just get fucked.
  12. Yeah, I really don’t know what people here expect hospitals to do. You can’t separate the nurses from anything else going on in this thread. We facilitate it. We’re the frontlines, getting the brunt of abuse from people who get kicked out and dumped on the streets.
  13. Yep, I'm on my way out the door in med-surg. I've just had enough. I want something easier for the same pay. That will leave exactly one core nurse on night shift on my unit. The rest is an assortment of travelers who don't know the unit. Good luck managing that.
  14. Yeah, I really don't want to hear the self righteous and judgmental talk from people who have never worked in this field and have no idea what it's like. Come on, dig in and get screamed at, cursed at, spit on, pissed on, hit, kicked, and everything else, then tell me we're supposed to be saints and keep putting up with these people. You can argue this woman wasn't like that, she had a walker and all. Well, I've been struck by a patient's cane in the head. It doesn't really matter.
  15. I’ve done 4 of the berserker fights so far. I broke down last night and changed the difficulty to easy for the last one I did. Probably do that for the rest, whatevs. I am gonna beat the game on normal, though. I’m off for 4 nights starting Thursday, so I intend to beat it over the weekend. I want to, since I’ll be going to my parents’ for several days over Christmas.
  16. Zelda, RE4 and maybe FF XVI are the only ones I'm interested in.
  17. Yeah, a lot of the time it becomes of question of how much abuse health care workers are supposed to suffer to take care of others. Had a very large lady this week who has been refusing all care. She has no diagnosis of dementia or other mental illness. She’d rather lay in her own urine and feces than be turned and cleaned. I didn’t accept that and took a team in to get her clean. She screamed and spit in my face. Just…why?
  18. Mets just added Koudai Senga, 5 years and $75 million. That’s a crazy payroll.
  19. We kicked out a homeless guy the other day. But he was violent. Ain’t putting up with that shit. Y’all have no idea just how bad some patients can be. Not knowing the full story, I can’t fully comment on this individual situation. I’m betting it likely could have been handled in a more dignified manner, though.
  20. Former NYPD officer sentenced to 25 years to life for the death of his 8-year-old son | CNN WWW.CNN.COM A former officer with the New York Police Department was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison Thursday after he was found guilty last month of murder in the second degree... Seemed like an appropriate place to put this. He kept his sons in the garage at night with no heat source, bathroom, blankets, nothing. Both kids were autistic. He took one outside and hose him down in January temps after he soiled himself then didn’t call 911 for an hour. I wish there were a hell for total filth like this.
