Books What Are You Reading or Listening To?
CastlevaniaNut18 replied to rc0101's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
That's on my shelf, but I haven't read it yet. Did you read Song of Achilles? Great book. -
I've found it once and picked up a 12 pack. I like it, so that means I'll probably never find it again.

I wish they'd kept around the Orange Vanilla Coke Zero longer. I only found it a couple of times. I like this new Strawberries and Cream Dr Pepper Zero, though.

I don't like Diet Coke. I drink the Zero Sugar. Don't really have a preference, but I like the ZS Dr Pepper, Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew.

PC I finally took the plunge on the Steam Deck

Got my 1tb nvme in today. Took the husband maybe 15 minutes to install it. Said it's not bad, but there's a plate covering the drive, so watch out and don't drop those tiny screws when you remove it. Yay, I got space now. @stepee -
First SB I’ve skipped in years. Probably a combo of being less interested in football as of late and I didn’t care about either team.

Great episode. Gut wrenching, even though I knew it was coming. I like the additions they given the show, giving more background to the more minor, yet significant, characters. Melanie Lynskey was superb. They made Sam younger and dead to make him more vulnerable and reliant on Henry. It worked out well. Dunno why anyone would be bothered by this.

Fire Emblem Engage and Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. -

I came home from work this morning and played a little of the Final Fantasy pixel remaster. I'd forgotten about those. They're perfect for the Deck. 1 and 2 are the only ones of the first 10 games I haven't beaten, so I plan to go through these versions. -
General Gaming Do you skip dialogue in games?
CastlevaniaNut18 replied to stepee's topic in The Spawn Point
Not really skip it, but sometimes I'll speed through. Like with the Fire Emblem Engage stuff. The support convos I don't always find very interesting, so I'll speed them up. That's just a recent example. -

I’m just going to mess with some indies for the time being. I was thinking Apotheon. I’ve had it for years and barely played it. The nvme is actually a new release and not out yet. Amazon says it arrives Feb 15-16, so hopefully no delays. -

Haha, I’m booting it up to get it ready to start downloading before I hop in the shower. But I can’t download a bunch because my nvme doesn’t arrive til next week. -

It’s here! Just in time for me to have to get ready for work the next three nights. -
Nintendo Fire Emblem Engage - Somniel Trailer
CastlevaniaNut18 replied to Brian's topic in The Spawn Point
I did a fair bit of grinding for a while. Pretty much all my core units are well into their advanced classes. I have slacked off the last couple chapters, though. I'll probably need to start back up with the skirmishes again when I play next time. -

The Deck will definitely be my home for indies going forward. Steam sales are infinitely better than any sale Nintendo does. -
Nintendo Fire Emblem Engage - Somniel Trailer
CastlevaniaNut18 replied to Brian's topic in The Spawn Point
I’ve turned it off since they gave me the choice. With the older games, I’d refuse to go forward with losing a unit until the last battle. At that point, I just accepted a loss. -
Nintendo Fire Emblem Engage - Somniel Trailer

Yeah, difficulty does spike around chapter 16. This is why I turn off the permadeath. I hate stressing over losing one or two characters in battle.
