CastlevaniaNut18 replied to Brian's topic in The Spawn Point
I know, but I never have in any of the games. I always like the classes they start with. -

Hester by Laurie Lico Albanese. It's an interesting historical fiction involving Nathaniel Hawthorne and the "real" inspiration for Hester Prynne. -
Nintendo Fire Emblem Engage - Somniel Trailer

I'm at chapter 23 and so many of my characters are maxed out. I hate the level caps. I'm just rotating lesser characters in now to get them leveled up. -
Thanks, @stepee. I wasn’t aware of this one. Adding it to my wish list.

What would be your dream vacation?
CastlevaniaNut18 replied to Remarkableriots's topic in The Shower
Going to Japan in September. Visiting Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima. Not sure what else, but we’re gonna be there 3 weeks. Super Nintendo World is on the agenda. That’s been one of my biggest dreams and I’m excited. I also want to visit a bunch of places in Europe. Hoping to do my first visit to England next year. All the history there excites me. -
This is the first one I've had interest in since 9. I hated 10, skipped 11 and 12, played 40 hours of 13 before I got too bored and gave up, skipped 13-2, didn't mess with 14, and 15 looked completely unappealing.

No car payments for either of us. His 2011 Camry sits in the garage most of the time with 58k miles on it since he works from home now. My 2017 Colorado was paid off in a year since I used all of my insurance check as a down payment when my old truck got totaled. I don’t feel a need to have a new vehicle all the time and I like not having payments. My truck is just at 45k miles and I’ll drive it for another few years so long as I don’t have issues. I’d rather just save up and put a lot down up front rather than have high payments for years.

I grabbed the Contra collection on Steam for $3.19. Can’t beat that. Great for my Deck! -

Deep Dark Descending by Allen Eskens. It's the fourth book in this series and they're fast, fun addictive reads. -

The Pixel Remaster of the first game on Steam. I've beaten 3-10, so I'm going back and playing the first two games. -

Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, and Kirby. My Switch and Deck are getting lots of love. -
Are any of your grandparents still alive?
CastlevaniaNut18 replied to Fizzzzle's topic in The Shower
Both grandmothers are still alive and living independently at ages 83 and 87. The older one has been showing some signs of early dementia, though, and things are growing somewhat difficult there. I lost one grandfather in 1997 from lymphoma at age 61. He was a hell of a guy and one of the cruelest things in the world that we were robbed of him so early. I was 10, so I have good memories of him. The other grandfather passed in 2019 at age 87. I knew all 4 of my great-grandmothers, the first dying when I was 4, the last dying just shy of her 99th birthday in 2019. I can even vaguely recall one great-grandfather who died when I was 2. -

The Passage was enjoyable. Little overlong, though. Still, I'm looking forward to the rest of the trilogy. Switching gears to something short and fast Axes for Valhalla by Peter Gibbons. The third book in the Viking Blood and Blade Saga. Still reading Shuggie Bain on Kindle. It's a slow one. Starting Winning Fixes Everything by Evan Drellich for my nonfiction. -
‘47 Brand cleanup is my favorite hat. I have a few New Era caps, but nothing beats ‘47.
