I guess it's 7 here, because I repeatedly heard that number with my in-laws. Currently not something I'm worried about, given my parents aren't quite to their 60s. I don't know what I'll do when the time comes. I couldn't live with mine and I have no desire to move back home.

I could have sworn it was 7 years. We recently went through that with my husband’s grandma. She went to a NH last year when the money for sitters was out. His mom and uncle had taken steps prior to keep the house in the family. I think my mom and aunt have done the same with my grandma. She’s 87 and it’s about to come to putting her in a NH because she’s not doing so well on her own. But it’s gonna be a nightmare because she’s already a difficult personality at her baseline and isn’t so far gone she doesn’t realize what’s happening.

Got me some time in with Metroid Prime Remastered. I fucking suck at the boost ball, for crying out loud. I just gave up and I’m gonna let the hubs teach me before I go to work tomorrow.

Finished Desperation and The Black Mouth over the last two nights. Both really good reads. Now starting Woman of Light by Kali Fajardo-Anstine. Gotta get some of my BOTM backlog whittled.

Pentiment - PC - 10/10 This was a little gem I'm glad I found. The story, the art style, the ambient sound...all so great. Half-Blood Prince was my favorite book in the series and they just made it a goofy teenage love fest for the movie. Blahhh. I did enjoy the final two movies, though. Sure, there's stuff missing, but they worked for me. I loved the Battle of Hogwarts. Only thing I really hated was how Voldemort turned to ash in the end. The book was very specific on his death and for good reason. Oh, and Harry just snapping the Elder Wand in two and not fixing his own with it prior to returning it to Dumbledore's tomb. Just pointless changes that made for the worse.

Really glad I finally got into hockey. It’s been exciting. Gonna watch today and see if the Bruins can break the single season record for wins. Super excited for the playoffs.

Really hope this wrist injury on Duvall isn’t serious. I wasn’t familiar with this guy before, but he’s had a helluva start to the season. Watching the Mariners game today.

I was gonna say, I like Adam Driver for Snape. Harry’s parents and all their classmates should be casted younger, the way they were meant to be. No 50 year olds.

I should finish up Pentiment today. Love this game. If I do, then I’ll probably get back to Metroid Prime tonight.

Gonna be playing some Pentiment, I wanna beat it this weekend. I also started the Shadows of Rose expansion for RE VIIIage and I’m gonna play through it this weekend.

You never played the original?

I beat the original 3 or 4 times and I still played on Normal. I didn't struggle too much, but I died plenty. I never play games on Hard. I'm not the best gamer and I don't like being repeatedly frustrated.

I’ve done mostly fine with the stuff I’ve played, but I was definitely ready for an upgrade. I look forward to seeing the boosts. I run at 1440p on a 144hz monitor. It’s the game room PC I’m really hyped for. TLOU runs like ass and it has the same CPU, except it’s got a 7900xtx in it. Ready to hopefully run that game in 4k glory.

I think it’s the Ryzen 5 1600x. It’s like 5 years old.
