  1. Well, acknowledging is the first step.
  2. I wish it looked prettier and ran at a solid 60fps but the game is so good, I’ve gotten used to the visuals.
  3. Dude, I don’t care that you called me a lesbian. That’s so high school. It was just weird because I’m happily married to a man and have openly identified as bisexual for a while now. I also don’t care if you’re personally against abortion. That’s fine. You’ll never need one. Just don’t come into a serious topic that has very real and devastating effects on countless women just to “rile people up.” Then play the victim, like you were being oppressed.
  4. You were just…weird for the most part. Not particularly hateful from what I recall. But I definitely did get worked up more back then. Jesus, that’s been like a decade ago. I feel old. And I completely forgot about the feet. I think that was from a pedicure back in 2012 or so. What a ride. You’re still odd, but we good.
  5. Because some people’s political views make them see others as subhuman or second class citizens. That’s why people can’t get along. We can disagree on things like taxes and healthcare plans. Denying another person’s existence as a human and wanting their rights stripped or wanting to control women’s bodies aren’t beliefs that can be the foundation for a respectful relationship.
  6. Yeah, I do like this small community. It’s nice to have a place to vent frustrations with people who feel similarly. Or just talk about common interests. A lot of you I feel like I know as well as anyone in real life and I’ve shared some things here that I don’t talk about with anyone other than my spouse.
  7. Also, if you think this board is intolerable of right wing views, go to Reset ERA. You’d already be permabanned.
  8. I was great before I got stuck on hold with IT for the last 20 minutes.
  9. “Miserable” and “whiny bitch” is fine, but lesbian is too far. Bahahaha.
  10. I take serious issues seriously, therefore I am a miserable bitch. Yiiiiiikes. For someone who claims to “respect women” I get very exclusive insults. El oh El.
  11. Ahhh, there's that familiar Best. All that's missing is calling me a lesbian in denial.
  12. Goes to a thread about women losing bodily autonomy and calls women murderers. Then said he just came there to rile people up. Gets a brief ban. "Wahhhhhhh, they're oppressing me for my beliefs!" Also, there are several Christians on the CEB and none of them get shit on. Because they're not hateful idiots.
  13. I’ll look into it. Right now I’m watching the latest Ken Burns docuseries on America and the Holocaust. Probably need something a bit lighter to follow up with.
  14. I’ve actually seen Schindler’s List 3 times, but I agree. It’s hard to call it a favorite, that just feels wrong, but it’s an essential movie that everyone should see once in their life. It’s incredibly well done and one of the only films that I’ve ever cried at.
  15. TV: The Wire, The Last Kingdom, Chernobyl, We Own this City Movies: The Dark Knight, The Departed, V for Vendetta, Kingdom of Heaven(DC) I plan on finally watching Band of Brothers soon.
  16. I'll probably end up buying that one. I read her first book and it wasn't bad.
  17. I think I like Part One just a tad better, probably because I felt it had better pacing. But both games together fit into my Top 10 of all time. It’s really rare that I replay games.
  18. I’m off today, gonna try to get some time in with both Zelda and TLOU2.
  19. I’m 10 hours in and only done 14 shrines. I just keep getting distracted by the world. Also been playing TLOU2, so that’s kept me from going crazy with Zelda. Husband is like 90 hours in and hasn’t beaten it, though he said he should on this extended weekend.
  20. Still reading Up Country, but I've also started Weyward by Emilia Hart(fiction) and Hell and Other Destinations by Madeleine Albright(nonfiction). Freezing Order was fantastic. Read like a thriller, but nonfiction.
  21. I'm guessing it's because the story in Zelda doesn't hold your hand and have big, elaborate cutscenes frequently to lay it out.
