  1. Oh man, it gutted me, even though it was my second time. I am ready but not ready for the heartbreak that’s gonna come with season 2. But it’s a powerful story to make me feel that way. I don’t think any other game has done that to me.
  2. We’re doing a week in Osaka, which will include day trips to Kyoto and Nara Park, then 2 weeks in Tokyo, which will include a day trip to Hakone. Still don’t have everything planned out, but we’ll be doing a lot of train trips. I can’t wait for October.
  3. Y’all suck. Husband is thinking about getting this. I definitely have an interest, but I’m wrapped up in Zelda for a while. It can wait.
  4. Husband just asked me what I'll be playing when we return from Japan in late October. This, Spider-Man 2, or Alan Wake 2. I'm probably gonna go with Spider-Man first.
  5. Finished a replay of The Last of Us Part II. This time on PS5. Much nicer running at a smooth 60 FPS. Game is still just as masterful and gut-wrenching as the first time I played it. I want a follow up so bad. 10/10 2023 games: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster - PC Fire Emblem Engage - Switch Resident Evil 4 Remake - PC Resident Evil VIIlage: Shadows of Rose - PC Pentiment - PC The Last of Us Part I + Left Behind - PC Metroid Prime Remastered - Switch The Last of Us Part II - PS4(on PS5)
  6. Take 2/3 from the Yankees always feels good, no matter the rest of the season.
  7. And that’s something I struggled with as a young person being indoctrinated and what I find batshit now. Being told as a kid, you’re just as bad as someone like Hitler because murdering millions is the same as telling your parents a lie when you’re a toddler.
  8. Growing up in church, I was always taught suicide is a one way ticket to hell. Which is another reason I found Christianity to be so cruel. I get that there are more nuanced interpretations, but the classic one is still being taught by churches everywhere.
  9. He’ll donate to help a trans person move out of a state that persecutes her, but he’ll vote for the people pushing those laws. He mourns for the people who push hateful narratives. Cognitive dissonance at its finest.
  10. Can’t wait to see him in gaming threads and on general crying persecution for being a Christian and conservative later today.
  11. Holy shit, we’ve reached a new level where being happy the Unabomber is dead is a bad thing. The fuck.
  12. Yeah, it’s not really entertaining when real people have been and will continue to be harmed by him and his policies if he gets back in office.
  13. My family is the same. I have no kids, so that’s good, but it can be very tense when my parents know I’m bisexual and I have to listen to my dad talk shit about the queer community. I love my family, but it’s fucking hard. I just hate what things have become.
  14. Yeah, occasionally some dumb shit springs up, but it doesn’t last long. And nothing on par with the shit from years ago. I like the smaller, mostly like-minded community. The rest of social media creates more than enough toxicity.
  15. I’m not really one to hold grudges and if I can’t recall what it was about, I think we’re good. I’m definitely a lot different on here than I was a decade ago, too. But there’s just far less drama now.
  16. Long time, I guess. I vaguely remember you. Seems like we went at each other at some point in the past, but I honestly have no clue what it could have been about.
  17. Yeah, the resident sleuth(who isn’t here anymore either) uncovered some police reports. No idea how she knew it was him. it was all very gross. We used to text regularly and he never gave off vibes. He disappeared without responding to any of it.
  18. I don’t really want to get into all that because it’s all in the past and I’m not comfortable with it, but that’s not the actual reason he left. I will say I’m probably one of the only people who was familiar with both sides of the story. I don’t think it was really any specific reason, he just moved on. We kept talking for a while, but just kinda drifted apart. He was always cool to just talk games and stuff with and he never really got political. But he got caught up in it the last couple years because I started seeing stuff on FB and was just really disappointed.
