I work in psych, this could be any facility at any given time.

That word has been thrown around today. It’s pretty common up here.

I just turned 36. I don’t want to say I’m middled aged. Thankfully, drinking has never had a huge appeal to me. I mostly just like having a beer or two when I’m out with friends. The idea of drinking to cope with my stress has never seemed appealing to me. And I don’t do drugs, because of my job. Wouldn’t mind indulging in edibles once in a while, but that would be the time something would happen at work and they would want to drug test me.

The pants thief went and grabbed a shit covered blanket another patient threw in the hallway and wrapped it around her and refuses to take her medications. Said she does not need them.

One won’t take her meds because “my DNA is everywhere” Another is trying to sling his stolen walker around, insisting that his and not the one with his actual name on it. Another went into another patient’s room and stole his pants and put them on. please, let it end.

I wanna go home. It’s a goddamn circus tonight.

Buddhism sounds good. I legit always hated the thought of heaven. It sounded so boring even when I was Christian.

I know we didn’t get much into 20th century at my high school. Most of what I’ve learned has just been from avid reading. And we’ve seen how schools want to gloss over the more unsavory aspects.

This isn’t a jab at best or anyone here, but it’s disappointing how little Americans know of our own history. Failure of the education system to teach this stuff.

I started season 5 last week. I really like Nero, hope he doesn't turn out to be some super villain on the show. Jimmy Smits is great. I guess I've fallen into alternating. I got back into Outlander after finishing season 4 of SoA, finished season 3 of it, then back to SoA. Maybe I'll just alternate for a bit.

I appreciate the sentiments, guys. But the reality is, he's apologized probably half a dozen times and then repeats the behaviors. He did say he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which does fit with a lot of his behaviors. I hope he gets the proper help and if his views are legit evolving, good for him. I remain skeptical. But I've washed my hands of it. It is what it is.

I've started both Whalefall by Daniel Kraus and Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yaros.

Yeah, I do feel productive at least. Some of my patients are complete assholes, but most are good and I enjoy being around them. And I get paid pretty well. I generally always would rather be at home playing games or something, though.

I'm not in love with my job, but it's pretty easy these days. A I do like interacting with a lot of my patients. I'm feeling pretty content.

It was earlier this year. I actually thought he had died and looked him up the other day.

I really don’t care for playing Zelda in HH for some reason.
