  1. Maldonado is a moron for even attempting to claim that ball hit the bat.
  2. Taking advantage of these bad pitching/catching tandems.
  3. Honestly, I'm quite upset I was robbed of seeing a magnificent catch by Mookie. Would have outdone Kemp's catch last night.
  4. Y'all gonna have to get over that. Morton is showing that 17 days of rust buildup.
  5. What're the playoffs without a little controversy? It's probably a conspiracy, ya know.
  6. What I meant was, there wasn't enough evidence to show where everyone was. The best chance to determine that was blocked by a security guard. Like I said, them's the breaks sometimes. And when you're an outstanding outfielder like Mookie, that's how things can go.
  7. Without Betts' athleticism, we wouldn't even been having this discussion. Wasn't enough evidence to overturn the call. Them's the breaks.
  8. Tough call, but the right one. That ball was headed right for Mookie's glove until the fan closed it.
  9. And it's shitty and I'll criticize any team all day long. I'd have been disgusted with the Red Sox if they'd done this, even though they desperately need bullpen help. But there's a notable difference between the two cases.
  10. I'm just thinking there's a bit of a difference in a team that immediately cuts ties with a player who gets arrested for murder and a team that knowingly trades for a domestic abuser, especially when they have quite a few players vocally opposed.
  11. He was also unceremoniously dumped by the Patriots, so how about you give me a break?
  12. I criticize my teams when they're shitty, so your 'gotcha!' doesn't work. I don't follow football as closely, but I don't recall any recent domestic violence issues with the Patriots.
  13. The man who beats women is beating himself right now.
  14. I want Kim to end up okay, too. And with the way the season ended, I could see her realizing it's time to leave Jimmy. I just don't see the story needing her to end up with Howard to be okay. Like I said, there's never been a hint of anything between them. She doesn't need a man to end up okay.
  15. I've not gotten a hint of that. It would just feel weird if they went that direction and I'd like to think the showrunners are better than that. Kim always struck me as the type who didn't need a relationship.
  16. Maybe I've missed something or I'm blind or whatever, but I've never seen any hint of romantic feelings between Howard and Kim. Having her leave Jimmy and run to Howard when they've never been anything more than professional colleagues would just feel shoehorned, not appropriate for the story. Kim doesn't need to end up with anyone. I thought we were moving past the era where women always needed a man in their lives.
  17. Why would Kim need to end up with Howard when things fail with Jimmy? It's not like she's gotta be forced into a relationship. GTFO with that shit.
