  1. I know, I’m ashamed. I got it on Switch but was waiting for the patches to make it better before I played it. But I’ve been playing other stuff. Husband played it on PC and loved it. I need to get to it soon.
  2. A 980. And I don't see why it wouldn't last a decent few years. I'm not moving up to 4k. I don't want to wait an additional year for an upgrade, not with Cyberpunk releasing soon and I'm not spending a grand on a GPU.
  3. I think I'm gonna upgrade to the 2070 Super after the holidays. I've overdue, plus, the Christmas money I get from my in-laws will lessen the blow.
  4. So I had to put Elevation on hold. Was reading at work last night and got to page 56 and the following page was 25. Like, 33 pages of the book after page 56 were a repeat of a prior section. It resumed on page 89 as if the prior 33 pages were as they were supposed to be. Never had that happen with a book before. So while I wait for a replacement copy from Amazon(and I hope it was just a one off, not a huge bad batch) I started reading The Chalk Man by CJ Tudor. Already 97 pages into it, though it's a short book and starting off slow.
  5. I still don't care about Star Wars, but the new trilogy looks more interesting from the trailers than all the other movies. It...almost...makes me want to watch them. But not quite.
  6. I sometimes feel like there's too many lengthy RPGs released these days and I just don't have time for them all. My husband played and liked the first Bravely Default game and Octopath. But I feel like I have to really limit myself to the stuff I know I'll love, like Persona or Dragon Quest. Just too many long-ass games these days. Would have been great when I was a kid.
  7. Finished This Tender Land last night and Under the Banner of Heaven today. Passed my total from last year, woo! I decided to reread Skipping Christmas by John Grisham. I've read it probably a dozen times, but it's been at least a couple years and it's the only Christmas book I've ever really read. It's a nice hardcover copy my aunt got me for Christmas the year it came out. Beautiful cover. Brings back nostalgia for me. I'm also gonna start Elevation by Stephen King. Looks to be different from a lot of his works and it's also really short. I'll have these two wrapped up quickly.
  8. Probably because I'm killing time waiting for my husband to finish the dishes.
  9. Again, you bitch about everything. Once Unity was patched up, it wasn't a bad game if you like AC. It advanced the game play. I didn't play it right away, I waited for the fixes. There are plenty of truly awful games out there. These aren't them. Just say you didn't like them, they weren't for you and move on.
  10. I put 33 hours into that one and beat it. It's not my favorite game in the series, but I enjoyed it. I think a 70 is about accurate. You also bitch about nearly every game, so why am I seriously responding to you, anyway? Derp.
  11. I haven’t gotten around to playing it, but 83% on Metacritic doesn’t exactly scream “sucky game.”
  12. It's an argument I've heard before. I just don't care to listen to this dude's voice or look at his face.
  13. He's such a horrible person, but he tries to hide it under the guise of bad dad jokes and "aww, shucks" veneer.
  14. I'm not sold on this yet. It's a maybe when it's cheap. I haven't bought a PS4 game since Days Gone and I think the only thing left I'm definitely getting is The Last of Us Part 2.
  15. I haven't even heard of a lot of these movies, much less seen them. It does seem like I care less and less about movies as time goes by.
  16. I started back on Link's Awakening last night, so I plan on playing more of that today.
  17. This was really a fantastic year for Switch. I'd have hardly gotten anything if I didn't have a Switch. Shit, I forgot about Yoshi's Crafted World. Started that one with the husband, but we got sidetracked. Still need to get back to it sometime. Dragon Quest XI is another one I bought but haven't played yet. Yup, Switch is killing it.
  18. Collecting games or whatever alone isn't necessarily unhealthy. I've never let my collection dominate my life or get out of hand. But then, I don't understand the people who feel the need to have full sets. I always just bought what I liked. I don't get paying money for shitty games just to say you've got a full set.
  19. Yeah, I checked and the only games from this year I’ve beaten are Luigi’s Mansion 3 Days Gone Resident Evil 2 I started Fire Emblem Three Houses and Link’s Awakening and Pokémon Sword. I’d expect they’d knock off Days Gone if I’d beaten them by now.
  20. I'm gonna add more. The Witcher 3 The Last of Us Metal Gear Solid V Batman: Arkham City God of War Super Mario Odyssey The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Persona 5 Animal Crossing: New Leaf Portal 2 Except for the first two, they're in no particular order. Honorable mentions: Assassin's Creed Origins Stardew Valley Bioshock Infinite Fire Emblem Awakening Wolfenstein: The New Order
