  1. I mean, there’s that and another $100+ for the Super Gun and knowing how to set it up. A lot of the really good boards run $300, $400, $500 and up. Some are too expensive for me, really.
  2. I do love my Sunset Riders PBC. I still kept my SNES copy, though. Pretty much for all my PCBs that had decent console ports.
  3. I already did. When I mentioned the Super Gun multiple times. But a lot of boards are still crazy expensive. Best present my husband ever got me was my Turtles in Time board. That essentially counted as birthday and Christmas that year.
  4. There’s a big difference between “fine” and “perfect port.”
  5. I’m telling you that you can collect the boards and play them but not need a cab. Personally, the cans are a bit uncomfortable to play at for any significant length of time. Plus, the screens are old and a bitch to fix and they don’t look as nice these days.
  6. I think you’re high tonight, dude. I dunno what games you’re thinking that have perfect console ports these days. I mean, Saturn had some good fighting game ports. But beyond that...
  7. I’m still not sure you’re getting what I’m saying. But there are too many exceptions. I mean, I think the Capcom Beat Em Up collection is good for Switch. But having those games in their original for is really unbeatable.
  8. Ninja Turtles and Turtles in Time in their original arcade format...bliss. Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder can’t be found anywhere but the original arcade board.
  9. Super Gun. I mean, we can put any of our boards in the Neo Geo cab. But Super Gun is easier and more comfortable.
  10. Don’t need space for cabs. Though we do have a restored Neo Geo cab. We just collect the boards. And they are farrrrrr superior to their console counterparts, I dunno what you’re smoking lol.
  11. Honestly, I don’t care for emulation. I go with the original hardware almost every time. At least modded hardware. we only used the MiSTer for the GG game so we could play it together. Otherwise, it’s just a tinkering object for him.
  12. Hah, I didn't realize my husband had gotten another RaspberryPi. He just uses it to run Pi Hole, though.
  13. Erm, not really? It simulates hardware, not straight up emulating games.
  14. Husband got sick of the issues with RaspberryPi. Dumped it. He loves his MiSTer. I'm not really into the tech stuff like he is, but it is a much better experience. We played through the Game Gear Shining Force game on it.
  15. My mini consoles are still in the box. I really haven't been collecting much, hard to find something I don't already have. But I've been in a more retro mood lately. Started Paper Mario on N64 and been playing Neo Geo MVS stuff with the spouse.
  16. My husband found some new project to work on with his this week. Have mercy.
