I just watched the first episode. Not bad. I’ll probably watch all of it just for nostalgia’s sake. Yeah, I know it’s not realistic, but whatever.

I’ve seen The Prestige several times, it’s a great movie. I only recall seeing The Illusionist once, but I remember I liked it. I should watch it again sometime.

Started The Burning Girls by CJ Tudor. Early, but it has me quite interested. Also picked back up my nonfiction, the first volume of Eleanor Roosevelt. I hadn't touched it in weeks because I've been reading some great novels, but I need to finish this. I'm into the politics stage of her life now, and that's more interesting, so it should go faster from here.

Started Control. I picked it up on sale back around Christmas, so why not? I'm running everything maxed, including RT and my 3080 is handling it reasonably well. I'm not dipping below 60 FPS yet. It's...a weird game.

Part nostalgia, part games I missed. I didn’t really play a lot of games during the 8 and 16-but eras. And they’re just a lot of fun.

Just beat Mafia: The Definitive Edition. I never played the original, but had gone through II and III years prior. This one was solid. And good thing I didn't remember much from Mafia II, so I didn't see the ending to the original coming. 2021 games: Assassin's Creed Valhalla (PC) Mafia: The Definitive Edition (PC) Hopefully this year, I play more games. I know I'll be diving into RE VIII on release day.

Yeah, he just buys whatever clamshell case games he comes across for a decent price. They are pretty cool.

Twin Famicom was its own purchase, the games came from two separate orders. He's just been in a Famicom mood and we like the carts better than NES carts, so some were games we already own the US versions of and others were JP exclusives that just looked neat. Oh, and he has this thing for the plastic clamshell Famicom cases. I love the Japanese art for Yoshi's Island, so I went for it. I want a SFC version of Mario World, but they didn't have a good enough copy I wanted to spend money on, so it'll wait for another day.

Our orders arrived this week. Part of it was my gift to the husband for his birthday.

These sickos spend so much time demonizing LGBT people, characterizing them as predators when they're the ones raising predators. And they get rewarded with TV shows and book deals and people thinking they're so wholesome and sweet. Fuuuuuuuuck.

There’s been some new homes in development in my neighborhood and I often think of this case when passing them on our daily runs. It’s absurd a man was murdered over something so harmless.

It's definitely inconvenient and everyone hates going to the DMV, but for most folks here, it's not anything insurmountable. Except for the pandemic making things harder. Least we're getting vaccinated and can start doing shit again.

Just go to the DMV and take a book while you wait. It's only a one time thing.

I got mine in 2017 when I was due for a renewal anyway. Wasn't a big deal at all.

I never saw it. Maybe I will once I’ve finished the book. I got hardcover copies of Gerald’s Game and Dolores Claiborne today. Looking forward to them. SK has become a favorite.
