My husband's great aunt died today. She had been a pretty healthy 80-something, but had to have heart surgery a couple weeks ago. Seemed to be recovering well from that, but suddenly developed what sounds like a severe GI bleed. She was in the hospital in their small town, but they didn't have a surgeon to do the procedure down there. Kept losing blood. They were ready to flight her to wherever yesterday, but all the regional hospitals are desperately full and they had nowhere to send her. So she fucking died. Fuck the unvaccinated. Fuck these people to hell and back.

I had my one and only shart years ago. I dunno, 7-8 years? It was probably like half the size of a dime. Last time I shit myself was when I was a toddler. I have this vague memory of really needing to go to the bathroom and we lived in a single wide trailer at the time and my dad was in the bathroom and I couldn't hold it. I'm not even sure if the memory is real, but it's something that had oddly always been retained.

Since the temps have been so low here, I decided to have some hot chocolate last night and I used the oat milk. Pretty darn good! I do think I’ll use oat milk semi-regularly.

Cereal is my primary use for milk. I don't always drink the leftover cereal milk. Just depends on what cereal I've had.

So I had a small glass of oat milk yesterday. Not really a fan of drinking it straight. It's not gross, but it just tastes like oat water. Not exactly appetizing. Using it with my cereal today and it's fine. I don't much notice the taste. Since I got this at Whole Foods yesterday, I need to see what the normal price is like to compare it to the milk I buy. I don't think I could give up dairy for oat milk.

The Hokas I got for work are pretty comfortable. I usually go to the gym at work after my shift and that first day running, I did get a bit of a blister on my big toe. May just need to break them in more. I ordered another pair of Hoka, the Clifton 8, for everyday wear. They're backordered, right now, so it'll be mid-Feb before I get them. I can wait. Dropped into Whole Foods today for some sushi...decided to pick up some oat milk and see what the big deal is. I'll give my opinion later. Didn't seem right to drink any with the sushi.

Since I finished the book last night, I decided to watch Cujo tonight. Only found out it was on Hulu a few days ago. I thought it was pretty good, especially considering it was made in 1983. Definitely perked the ending up a bit from the book.
