I live super close to a school, but it’s a private school. If I had kids, I would definitely not send them to the public schools here. Most of them are not known for being nice, safe places of quality learning. Just checking, the nearest elementary and middle schools are 2.1 miles away from my house and the nearest high school is 4.7 miles. The private academy is 1.1 mile away.

Given that The Wire is pretty much my favorite show ever, I'm definitely watching this.

I pay for Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, MLB.tv, and Amazon Prime. It doesn't bother me to obtain a few other things illicit ways.

@Mercury33, I haven't read them yet, but I think I'm gonna make them a priority for this year. I've heard you and some others give them a lot of praise. They're on my shelf. Will post thought in the Reading thread as I go though them. The only other show that I think comes close for me is The Wire. Different style and all, but it was a very well done show and gave me a lot of emotions as I watched. TLK and the Wire are two of the only shows I've watched twice.

Yeah , I have the DC on Plex. Husband is kinda interested in watching it. I better get 'round to it.

Yeah, I definitely wanna see the movie once I read the book. Mike Flanagan is great. Reminds me I also need to read Doctor Sleep so I can watch that movie.

Next up for fiction: Gerald's Game by Stephen King. I've heard this is a hard one to stomach, but I'm looking forward to it.

Finished. Goddamn, that was excellent. Probably my favorite show of all time. It’s definitely up there. Top two at least. All those feels at the end. This felt like a satisfactory ending, but I’m very much looking forward to the movie because there’s more story to be had.

I've seen some of those videos and they're great.

Damn my husband having to go to bed to work tomorrow. One episode left. Such a thrilling season. I really do love some of the changes they made from the books. Glad they kept Ealswith around because I've really grown to love her character. Same with Althelm. The chemistry these actors have with each other is excellent. I love the emotions between these characters who truly care about each other. Ready to finish it up tomorrow, then I'll eagerly await the movie next year.

And I have no intention of attacking anyone for continuing to buy HP stuff. I’m in some liberal groups on FB and hoo boy, have I been ragged on for not boycotting every company that doesn’t toe the line. To each their own. Everyone has a level of comfort.

There’s plenty I like to keep me occupied and her bigotry has had an effect on my HP fandom. I’m certainly not deprived of entertainment. I’ll be okay.

I might end up doing that. I’m not dying to play it, so I’ll just wait and see how it goes.

I just realized I never played the DLC for Spider-Man. Since I have the PS5 version now, I wonder how that works.

I still love HP, but I’m done giving JK money.

6 episodes down. Gahhhh, this is so good. All the feels. It's deviating a lot from the books and honestly, I'm forgetting book details. I read the series between Dec 2019-Feb 2021. Doesn't help that I've watched the show during that time, too. Love them both, though.

My husband has taken over the system to play FFVII. I wasn’t quite expecting that. I’m playing Miles Morales first. It’s short enough.
