  1. I always have, but in your case I'd just say fuck it.
  2. Been gone all weekend for an anniversary trip, but we’re back home and I’ll be playing some Rift Apart later tonight.
  3. Yeah, I read and loved The Stand. I know he reuses some characters. It definitely threw me off when I encountered Patrick Hocksetter in Firestarter last month.
  4. Thanks, I was just wondering, since it started out with characters named Roland and Flagg, lol. Yeah, I remember reading that he wrote it for his daughter who didn’t like horror. He dedicates it to her. Speaking of TDT, I was in a used bookshop yesterday and picked up a first edition of Song of Susannah. Guess I’m gonna have to buy the others and finally start the series sometime.
  5. I wouldn’t have said this was needed, but I’ll definitely be buying day one. Looks good. I played the original 3 times, I think? Maybe 3.5, since I played part of it on Wii. I’d really like a remake of CV or REmake or 0.
  6. BK was my first Spike Lee movie, too. It was really good. Never seen or heard of The Outfit, but I don’t watch just a ton of movies.
  7. Now starting Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King. Does this tie in with TDT, @EternallDarkness?
  8. Just finished. I thought it was great. Didn’t quite end like I expected, but it was good. Definitely recommend.
  9. On work days, I go to the gym after my shift. Off days, it’s usually in the evening.
  10. I wouldn't say huge, but I've got several hundred books in that bedroom. I need more shelves, but IKEA keeps being out of stock, dammit. I'll try to remember to take some photos soon. We took a bunch of stuff out of the closet last night to move an old Trinitron, so that room is kind of a mess now.
  11. I'm halfway through Cunning Folk by Adam Nevill, it's pretty good. Starting Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak tonight. I've heard a lot of great things.
  12. It’s something that’s definitely crossed my mind more than once in my career. When is a hospital gonna be hit by one of these sickos.
  13. Oh yeah, we just bought a slim treadmill, so it can be easily moved and he’s been using it at his desk. He’ll walk 2 or 3 miles on it while working. So that’s nice.
  14. Our house is 2500sqft but I do feel we use most of it regularly. We turned the dining room into an office area, so a lot of time gets spent at our desktops, but we also spend a good deal of time in the game room. One spare bedroom is his work room for his projects and the other is a guest room/my library. I love reading in there. But without the books and video games, we could do with a smaller space. Those are just really important to us.
  15. I went to Yellowstone on a school trip as a kid. We stayed in a cluster of cabins in the park. Yes, the wildlife roam freely. One day we came back from our excursions and bison were all up in our cabin area. We had to stay on the bus until they decided to move on. People are dumb and need to stay back from dangerous wildlife. You’re in their territory up there.
  16. My husband loves his adjustable standing desk. I generally run around plenty at my job.
  17. Considering we require zero training for gun ownership, that seems to be ignored completely .
  18. I like taking photos of my books and games and sharing them. Guns? Nah. It just seems kinda demented.
  19. I’m not going to ask. No good can come of it. I do not respond to her political posts, period. But I made a post of my own basically in response that posed the same question.
  20. Saw a post from my mom blaming this not on guns but on LGBTQ identities, mental illness, and taking God out of schools and government. Just fucking disgusting. It’s all I can do not to rage.
  21. Never saw it and doubt I will. I hear they're noting alike.
