  1. I'm definitely not a Houston fan, but they got some hella talent on that team. Some I dislike, like Bregman, others I have tons of respect for. But it's always sweet to see the Yankees get no hit, no matter who.
  2. I guess it would depend on the situation and the urgency? OB has been an area I’ve stayed away from all my career.
  3. Good question and one I don’t have the answer to. The writers of the law probably don’t know, either.
  4. I think most of the states with trigger bans left that exception. But no others. I’m just angry beyond words now.
  5. Yeah, that’s why Arkansas banned them in all cases except threat to the mother’s life. 🙄
  6. I get sick of seeing people say this decision doesn’t ban abortion, it just returns the decision to the states. It’s fucking insane this has to be said, but where you live shouldn’t fucking determine what healthcare you have access to.
  7. Brown overturned precedent, but it gave rights to people. Overturning the Roe precedent takes away rights for people. Fuck these chucklefucks.
  8. Now reading The Lynching: The Epic Courtroom Battle that Brought Down the Klan by Laurence Leamer.
  9. Yeah, Arkansas has already canceled abortion appointments. Ours takes effect immediately.
  10. Pretty fucking bad. But I’m at least fortunate enough to travel elsewhere. The women in my state who can’t…I can’t even imagine.
  11. I really don’t have any words. Just that this country is a shithole and fuck everyone who supports this.
  12. Stayed up too late this morning finished Nothing More Dangerous, it was worth it. Reading Where the Lost Wander by Amy Harmon on my Kindle.
  13. My dad sleeps with a pistol under his pillow(not chambered, at least) and a pistol next to the bed. The last murder I'm aware of in that town was nearly a decade ago when a stepfather killed his daughter, then himself. I don't fucking get it.
  14. Now onto Nothing More Dangerous by Allen Eskins. I also think I’m gonna start Everything’s Eventual by Stephen King. Do some short stories for a while.
  15. The first 4 seasons are just about the best we’ve ever seen on television. There’s some drop off in the writing in season 5 and 6, but they were still great overall. The 7th and 8th seasons were mostly a mess with poor character writing, plot holes and such. But there were still some truly great moments.
  16. Current fiction: Yerba Buena by Nina Lacour. Seemed like a good read for Pride Month. I’ve completed 53 books on the year.
  17. I got it on Switch, husband on Steam. We both like it. Really colorful and it plays smooth. This is way better than when we played The Manhattan Project last month, lol.
  18. Yeah, it’s fucking awful here. We’ve been in the 90s all week with no end in sight. Forecasting to hit 100+ next week. My new treadmill is really getting some use, because I’m not going out there in that to run.
  19. Still making steady progress in Washington, but I started another nonfiction tonight: The Line Becomes a River: Dispatches from the Border by Francisco Cantù.
  20. Finished The Quarry, but I got a terrible ending. Guess I’ll be replaying that one sometime.
  21. Lve it, @Nokra. I adore seeing people's bookshelves and what's on them. Shelfies are my fave.
