  1. Sorry to hear about your health struggles. Diabetes is no joke and you’re gonna have to make some big life changes. Best wishes for you. I see diabetic feet frequently. Some ending losing the whole limb. Recently had a fellow with a hole all the way through his foot. It’s rough stuff.
  2. I could have sworn I saw Susan Collins on our flight from Bangor to DC last year, but I was second guessing myself and she had a mask on and all. I don't think I'd be as good at recognizing a celebrity as I might think.
  3. I hadn't checked that thread lately, so I didn't know. Very sorry for your loss, Wade. You two had a great companionship. You helped give that dog a great life. Dogs are the best.
  4. Oooh, looks gorgeous. I'll see if we have time.
  5. Yep. Always wanted to visit the PNW and since I went to Maine last year, seemed appropriate to go in the opposite direction this year. I go to a game in whatever city I visit and I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the Mariners because of players like Griffey, Ichiro, E. Martinez, King Felix, etc. Even A-rod when I was a kid and didn't know any better, lol. Gonna do some whale watching, visit Mt Rainier, Olympic Nat Forest, and do a day trip to Portland while we're there.
  6. Got my Mariners tickets for Sept. Get to see the Braves in town! I bought a Ken Griffey Jr jersey for the occasion. He was one of my faves as a kid.
  7. Hot damn, that was an episode. What to fill the remaining 5 with now?
  8. I gotta get back to this once I catch up on my shows. I screwed up in chapter 6 and that led to me getting a doodoo ending. Luckily you can replay chapters.
  9. Kinda surprised you haven't. But it's masterful. As expected from the guy who did The Wire. Police fucking suck.
  10. I can't watch it. Just fucking awful. And having just finished We Own This City, I'm feeling especially hostile toward police right now.
  11. Finally got around to watching this. As expected, it was extremely compelling TV. And a damning indictment of the BPD and really policing as a whole. Yeah, the bad guys went to prison at the end, but the entire system is so fucked up, you don’t really feel much of a sense of justice. It was hard watching the earlier episodes where the DOJ folks were anticipating a Clinton administration and the reality of the election outcome. I can’t imagine what those people felt like, knowing they were gonna sit on their asses with an administration that didn’t give a shit about civil rights. Really just gut wrenching as a whole.
  12. I think I’ve found a new favorite with Needful Things. That was awesome. I’m torn between two books for my next read: Savages by Don Winslow or The Winter King by Bernard Cornwell.
  13. Needful Things by Stephen King Twilight of Democracy by Anne Applebaum No Ordinary Time by Doris Kearns Goodwin
  14. Genesis probably ranks 3rd for me. Modern gaming just doesn’t stick with me outside of a handful of great titles. A lot of stuff I play now I tend to forget not long after it’s been finished.
  15. SNES or PS1 PS4 was ho hum outside of a few exclusives because PC has been my primary platform for a long time.
  16. Husband has already played all the River City games. I haven’t, but I figure we’ll give it a go at some point. We’ve always enjoyed beat-em-ups, we just go through phases with them. We have a collection of PCBs that we play from time to time.
  17. Scott Pilgrim on PC, co-op I'll probably play Ys VI after he goes to bed tonight.
