  1. I really only know who he is because I watched a ton of Nickelodeon as a kid. Loved Keenan and Kel.
  2. The show doesn’t glorify what he did. It puts more of a focus on the victims and how the piss poor system we have allowed him to keep getting away with it. First five episodes were difficult. The 6th episode was really well done and it just gutted me. Guy who played Tony Hughs was excellent. My only grip was that final scene. Just not needed after such an emotional episode. Final episode is why I think Christianity is such bullshit. Someone like Dahmer is apparently worthy of getting into Heaven because he gets “saved.” The rest of us are supposed to burn for eternity because we can’t believe in sky daddy.
  3. Cayenne is where I top out. It's hell on my reflux and I just don't care for very spicy foods anymore.
  4. Seems like this is a good article detailing parts of the show that didn’t match the facts of the case. Overall, it seems pretty spot on, though. What's real and what's fiction in Netflix’s Jeffrey Dahmer series, ‘Monster’ WWW.JSONLINE.COM The new Jeffrey Dahmer series on Netflix uses a plethora of facts from the original reporting but there are a couple creative liberties, too.
  5. I love almost all seafood. It’s a tossup between raw oysters and boiled crawfish.
  6. I’m halfway through. Probably the most queasy a show has ever made me. It’s very well done. Doesn’t try to romanticize the monster like some shows do. Puts more emphasis on his victims and how the system failed to catch him, given so many opportunities. Evan Peters understands the assignment. Feel bad for his mental state after finishing a role like that.
  7. Also finished up Five Days at Memorial the other night. 9/10 Really hit close to home. I read the book, too. I don’t think all those patients had to die, but I blame the government response ultimately. Scapegoating a doctor and a couple nurses really backfired.
  8. I finally watched El Camino recently and thought it was great.
  9. All of this is tempting, but I think my 3080 still has a good bit of life in it. Do need to upgrade my CPU to one of the new Ryzens soon, though.
  10. Middle Ages Europe is probably my favorite period to read about, but it sounds like you have that covered. Also gotten into Russian history in the last couple years, especially the Revolution.
  11. I have a fear of spiders and heights and I'm mildly claustrophobic, though not irrationally so. I don't fear tunnels collapsing on me. I just don't like to be confined to where I can't really move. I definitely have a degree of trypophobia. Clustered holes make me really uncomfortable. I guess that's irrational.
  12. Amazon is running late with my copy. Thinking that’ll be the next big nonfiction I tackle.
  13. Didn’t get a ton of reading done on vacation, since we were so busy. Im finally getting into The Talisman and it’s getting good. Also reading Denali’s Howl by Andy Hall for my nonfiction.
  14. Stephen King’s Storm of the Century - 8/10 It’s on Hulu, so I figured it was time to watch it. It certainly shows its age, but I found it to be a compelling story about small communities and the secrets they keep.
  15. I never got around to playing the Wii game, though I own it. Definitely getting this.
  16. Movie traumatized me as a child. Does this one still have the bad little boys being kidnapped and turned into donkeys?
  17. I am actually very disappointed that I likely saw Julio play in AA last year and wasn’t aware of him. I usually go to one or two Travs games a year since that’s the only baseball close to me. Gotta keep a watch on these potential young stars.
  18. We went to Mount Rainier today and I guess we got back as the game ended because fireworks were going up at the stadium. That view of the city is really pretty at night with those two stadiums lit up side by side.
  19. I loved The Lion King 2. I think it still holds up. haven’t watched anything since then.
  20. We went to both after the game. Neat little stores, but all I got was a Cubone plush and a Kirby figure. It’s basically hard to find retro stuff we don’t already have. Only thing I pondered was Panzer Dragoon Zwie, but I wasn’t in the mood to spend $130 today.
