@Brick I went home on my lunch break and checked. No mention of D1 stuff in the Pc triumphs. So back to your original question about Titan triumphs... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

Did you play as a Titan during the beta perhaps?

That could be the case. These were all on the PS4 version last night.

It does. I was able to unlock stuff for completing all the D1 raids, the campaign etc.

I have played like 3 hours of forsaken from 320 and am already 390. It is a quick ramp up.

It comes with Forsaken. At the character selection screen there will be a little circle symbol next to a character slot. You then select that and it gives you a big warning twice “Are you sure you want to use this boost on this character?”

In my case, since I only had my warlock leveled up, my hunter and Titan were still 100 and could be boosted. I haven’t looked on PC yet to see how it looks with a blank character slot. 

Boosting brings you up to 320 with basic blue gear and clears the Red War, Osiris and Warmind campaigns. You also get some Eververse consumables that gift some random eververse stuff and some bright engrams. It also unlocks all subclasses. It does not unlock the trophy for those subclasses however, as I learned last night. ?

If I were buy another one it costs 3000 silver.

I think it must look at Bungie.net, which would have your old D1 stats. Did you have D1 raid triumphs unlocked as well?

I played with the Trinity Ghoul at PAX and the bow that Petra gives feels better to use imo. Something about that final “knock and lock” gives it a great cadence. 

I used my boost on a Titan and am going through the story with him. The boost starts you at 320. I unlocked the Missile Super, which is really fun! 

Bungie is introducing a reward system. First item is the Forsaken digital soundtrack. Unknown if future rewards will also be free or cost money (like the triumph shirts) 

Forsaken! This will be my answer for the foreseeable future. 

I realized something last night as I was cleaning up milestones on PC. The legendary engrams I received from completing a single strike, a few crucible matches etc aren’t marked as “powerful gear” but still gave me items at higher light than I currently was. 

So it might be wise to just do all the activities with trackers attached to them even though you don’t think it will help you level up.

However, I can say that my brother was a huge Destiny fan, fell out of love with it after Destiny 2 released, and is now big-time into it. Something changed for him, though I don't know what since I haven't played it.

They kept putting back in systems and investments loops from D1 that they inexplicably removed in D2. ?

True true. I keep overlooking that aspect. 

I mean, the base game will get you a 10-20 hour campaign plus 30+ hours of additional stuff should you want to really dig in. There is plenty to do in vanilla D2. So there is value there. Just a bit of a wallet shock as I mentioned should you want to move forward.

Really. This is no different than when Taken King released a few years back. You needed prior expansions for that one as well. 

It makes it seem silly this time around though because this is obviously to get more sales for Forsaken. They should have just included D2 and the Exp Pass with PS+ this month and it would be a great deal.

This. Let’s say you like the base game and want to continue it with Forsaken. You will HAVE to buy the Y1 expansion pass in order to also buy Forsaken. 

Just something to keep in mind. 

Wow! Vanilla D2 is one of the PS+ games for September. Still not that great of a deal though since you would need to buy both Y1 expansions if you wanted to upgrade to forsaken. 

A perk on my forsaken helmet increased the amount of special ammo that dropped from enemies. I activated that in a strike this morning and it was RAINING green bricks.

There isn’t a whole lot to do this week is there? 

Flashpoint, Nightfall (for which I’m not entirely sure I received rewards?), a single strike and 3 crucible matches. 

Calm before the storm I suppose. 

I’m mildly kicking myself for not taking greater advantage of the 2x and 3x Valor weekends. I’m mi-Mythic level now and with a couple more hours of grind I could have masterworked that Solstice Leg piece. Now it will likely never get done.  ?

You got the two expansions that are now old. If you were to reinstall it you would get this latest 2.0.0 update with the updated weapon system and stuff. Your progression would be halted come Sept 4th however.

It also makes me think as much as we all love our current guns and armors, it's probably best to just delete all that shit cause it ain't coming out of the vault ever again in one week. 

And if you do find that you need it you can just purchase one from the collections book. Or am I misunderstanding how that works?
