This, the game engine’s code is a f’n mess for RDR1 (at least according to things I’ve read).

I remember seeing both threads on the board at the same time. Regardless, wrestling shouldn't be consolidated into a single thread (nor should PC Hardware as someone suggested earlier). That is ludicrous. The same argument of "you're only discussing what's currently happening" can be used for most subjects discussed on this board and does not mean that everything should be consolidated into a single thread to punish those who enjoy the subject discussed.

No, each PPV is unique with it’s own theme. Destiny 2 had a separate thread than Destiny. Every wrestler having their own discussion is not an apt comparison.

I’m fine with it, but, might I ask: if the monthly PPVs and news gets trolled regularly, will you consider a sub-board? I enjoyed talking about the subject with the 6-8 WB regulars on the previous site, I’m just concerned it’ll be polluted by trolling.

Destiny is a singular game, wrestling has 12+ PPVs throughout the year, 2x weekly shows, and that’s just a single organization. We would also post news on the forum as well. The majority of threads on General Video Games didn’t equal the size of the singular Destiny thread. Let’s make all video game discussion a single thread.

Wrong. We used to do one for each PPV and have a multi-page thread each time. There’s no reason to change that. Having to peruse a gigantic singular thread because you’re not a wrestling fan is ridiculous. And thanks @Jason, that’s the kind of bullshit I’m talking about.

My concern is that one format “wins” over the other, not so much which is better. Like, for instance, if I go with an HDR-only TV and Dolby Vision “wins”, HDR will lose support and I’d be screwed on future media/content. The benefit of HDR seems to be, much like Freesync, that it’s software based. Whereas Dolby Vision, like GSync, is hardware based. Meaning that as long as TVs meet the spec-requirements, they can be updated to newer HDR versions via firmware/software updates, Dolby Vision requires a physical chip.

It’s just... getting a TV now instead of waiting for VRR would be like getting a 1080p TV in mid-2015, just 6-8 months later 4k was everywhere and cheap. VRR is a HUGE deal and a game changer for gaming.

Then you’d have to sell your 4k TV to afford diapers, though.

Noooooooope Wrestling discussion and anime discussion would be trolled by dildos which was why the sub forums were created on the old site. Maybe I’m misremembering, though, but I really remember ass clowns posting in every wrestling thread prior to its own subforum. Maybe @SaysWho? can confirm or tell me if I’m wrong as he was more active in those threads than me prior to the sub-board. TBF, I think it was mostly Apoc

@SFLUFAN I completely understand doing “less is more” and completely agree. Doing board upon board splits the discussion too much and makes the boards appear slower (and bloated). That being said, under “entertainment”, while slow, can we please have a wrestling board and an anime board again? Hear me out: discussion of these two subjects on the entertainment board attracted trolls, adding the sub-forums eliminated them (IIRC). Up to you, though (obviously).
