  1. Having board names that are descriptive of their content and that won’t turn away newcomers?!?!? STOP THE MADNESS
  2. This released around the time the boards went down so I’m unsure if there was ever a thread about it... I actually only realized it came out a few days ago The few reviews I skimmed claim it’s one of/the best Marvel-Netflix shows yet. I only watched one ep so far, though.
  3. Just came in to post this Original sale is over (the price is up) - when I posted it was all LG refurbished.
  4. Yea, to my understanding, anything over 780 is ignored. As long as your score is at least 780 you *should* get the best possible rate.
  5. The couple that I've gotten have been $15-19 and have come with a digital copy + HD-BD along with the UHD-BD (The Fifth Element and Die Hard - the former had a lightning sale on Amazon on Wednesday). If you look on eBay you can find tons of people dumping either the UHD discs or the digital codes for $10-15, btw.
  6. “general video gaming” is kinda normal
  7. These are the worst fucking names ever. “The Red Carpet”? Really? Wait, no, “Comfy Couch” was actually worse. Just use normal names, like everywhere else.
  8. I’m guessing it’s a “test” atm and hopefully UHD-BD DV support follows.

  10. No I saw that, I was commenting on the wish of it being enabled for games/UHD-BD playback.
  11. Same; I’m interested in game and UHD-BD support.
  12. I’ve noticed that Dolby Vision HDR tends to look a bit better/clearer than HDR10 content.
  13. You don’t think it’s good to support both forms of HDR?

  15. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078GRM2MV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_oI.rBb13A3TH7 144hz @ 4k w/HDR will only be available via GSync at the moment due to the physical module compensating for the required bandwidth to do it through a cable. Honestly, though, VRR tech shines when framerates are below 60.
  16. The only GSync HDR monitor on the market is a paltry 27" with a 4ms response time, yet costs $2000. The previously linked Freesync HDR monitor is 28", has a 1ms response time and is only $400... So, with HDR capable GSync modules, while we don't know the exact cost for said module, it's likely more than a $150-200 premium over Freesync HDR monitors.
  17. Same. The only exception is on my BB or PayPal store cards with 0% interest if paid in x amount of months. (Ie: I want it “now” but can 100% pay it off in the next month )
  18. Stream. Same place I watched Game Night. May just be a not-so-great HDR movie.
  19. Yes, but you shouldn't wait months to pay your CC to increase your CS. My CCs have an APR ranging from 19%-25%. My other bills increase my CS as well as holding 0% interest balances for a few months prior to payment. Using a CC to "get points" and then waiting to pay the balance is just silly since your interest rate is likely higher than the amount you "get back" via points. That was the entire point of my reply. EDIT: I just checked and it actually does list a "previous statement balance" even though I always pay within 3-5 days of using it. So... Yea.
  20. Those HDMI 2.1 compliant AMD cards will look a lot better to gamers who play on TVs if nVidia doesn't follow suit. The current consoles, except the Xbone X (which is supposedly already HDMI 2.1 compliant, or at least mostly, and just needs a firmware update to "unlock" all of the features), won't work with the majority of HDMI 2.1 features, as the new bandwidth standard will be needed to carry HDR with 4k during VRR. I know that the VRR HDMI2.1 standard is similar to Freesync, but I don't think it's actually Freesync, just that it uses the same "idea" and is not based on hardware (GSync requires a physical module installed into the display).
  21. My credit score is around 820, so whatever I'm doing is apparently working.
