There were only two movies on the whole thing I hadn't seen. The taare one, and M. Most of the movies on both lists are worth seeing. One list is obviously more skewed towards kids movies.

You didn't do anything wrong.  I made the mistake of reading some of the comments on the posted twitter feed.  Twitter people can be quick to comment and slow to think.  Of course I do that sometimes too  

Make sure you don't read these stats wrong.  These are not the favorite movies of men and women.  These are the movies that have the highest disparity of ranking between men and women.  So this does not mean that women's favorite movies are harry potter.  The highest any off the Harry Potter movies ranked for women was 88.

Maybe some of those are good... But why constrain the story. The existing movies cover maybe 80 years? Break out of that small time frame and tell us something new.

The difference is having some sort of a 'release' like what they are doing for Justice League.  This is being propped up as a driver for sales for HBO MAX.  Not just another dvd.

It would be a cheap way to make extra money - film a little bit extra on every movie - then release a new directors cut after 2 years to see extra dollars roll in.  Now you get to pay to see every movie multiple times with slightly different parts.  

You would think this would only work with good movies, but apparently that is right out the window with what is happening now.

I just don't get why. Any story they tell is going to be greatly constrained by existing cannon. Just break out and tell new stories.

I have a friend that only buys physical cause he knows he is not going to revisit a game after he beats it, so he resells them on Ebay.  He has also bought used games on Ebay and resold them back at the same price he bought it for a month or so later.  It's honestly a smart way if you're gaming budget is limited.  I'm just too lazy to do any of the work to save a few bucks.

Gamepass is the smart way if you are on a gaming budget.  Plus it is all digital.  There is more there than you can play.  All first party games, tons of indies, and eventually a lot of other AAA games make their way there.  Look at the PC market - I think that is the future for consoles.  Especially Xbox. 

Nintendo is kinda their own thing and as long as they keep putting out solid gold games they can keep that up.

Easiest and best solution is an all digital world.  

So apparently this may either be a massive 4 hour movie - or split up into a miniseries.  

I'm gonna change my vote.  If this is 4 hours of terrible I will not watch it out of curiosity.  My curiosity has its limits.

It is pretty rare for a directors cut to make a huge difference in a movie.  I kinda expect this to still not be great - but maybe it will be not great in a different way so I will probably check it out.

What are the most improved movies ever after being re-cut?  Kingdom of Heaven comes to mind right away.  There are people on both sides for Blade Runner.  Apocalypse now has so many cuts it's hard to keep track - so I'm not sure if one is better than another.  What else?

I have a hard time thinking this is going to be good. Keanu suddenly aged when the beard got shaved off. I think it will be hard for two old guys to play the silly teen rocker vibe, and I don't think the story will have Bill and Ted acting any different from when they were kids.

You have a low bar for fine.  I would normally be interested in this type of game - but that looks garbage.  There is no way to tell what is foreground/background or on the same plane as your character.  When he was shooting arrows at bad guys it flew right by guys I thought it was going to hit.  Late in the second video he pushes a door to get to a new area - then he comes up to a pillar and I was thinking he was going to push it over - nope walks by it, then he gets stopped by a box that I thought was background art.

Looks like this all gets announced in a couple hours.  I hope they do this like the new Xcom game and announce that it releases today or within the next week or so.

So apparently this demo is a ps5 exclusive and we may never see it running on anything else.

It has been too long for me to remember specifics, but I remember having similar issues early, but by the middle of the game you have enough upgrades to take on anything. I enjoyed it and hope to see another some day.

I eventually got it working. Got the email from the social club about 12 hours later. 

The other thing that seems to be a little forgotten in this discussion is that the SeX has a pretty fast HD too. Obviously the PS blows everything away in this category, but it isn't like Microsoft is running off a potato. When they start streaming off the HD on the SeX they will still have very good speed. 

I can see it now. The mandalorian steps out on a baren landscape, there is a mighty electrical occurance. The lighting dies away, and left lying on the ground is a naked Kyle Reese. The time machine accidentally sent him to the wrong dimension. But if Kyle is here, can the terminator be far behind?

This - compounded by the marketing deals in place between Epic and PS.  My guess is this demo looks identical on high end PC, SX, and PS.
