After Life - The new Ricky Gervais show on Netflix gets a 7.5/10. Not the most original setup but there are some very lovely emotional moments. Boy Erased - 8.0/10. Well written, well acted, interesting and scary-because-it's-real story.

I don't know why I keep getting excited when old PCCBers stop by. They rarely stay.

When someone is busted for being a dick, I always find it to be among the shittiest responses possible when they say "I was just asking questions!" or some other non-acknowledgment.

Did anyone else watch this? I watched all of the episodes in one sitting tonight (there are only 6 episodes of 30 minutes each) and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The story is not particularly original, and the conclusions that the show reaches over the course of the six episodes are likewise not particularly original or surprising, but the show has quite a bit of heart. There are some very emotional moments (both dark and light), great music, great acting, and of course tons of laughs. What did you all think?

We could make this more "CEB-appropriate" by speculating about which flavor Trump will be licking off of Putin's balls.

I don't think that for me there would be any real difference between the two. If a girlfriend physically cheated on me with someone else, that would be the end of our relationship because it would also be a betrayal of my emotions (above all trust) as well. Both would be super shitty and I'm not sure I have much of a preference.

I got choked up the last few times as well, but I haven't seen the movie in a couple years now. Maybe I'll do so in the next couple days. This may sound dumb but I think part of why it resonated so well with me was the fact that I'm living thousands of miles away from my family in another country, so I could empathize with all of the themes of separation, longing, and loss. Though for me it's only a 24 hour travel day to get home. What in the movie reaches you, emotionally?

I, too, am a huge fan of Interstellar. I saw it three times in theaters and have watched it three times since on Blu-ray. Of course some aspects could be better, but what it does well, it does so damn well that I'm willing to forgive it its shortcomings. The emotional high notes are some of the best I've experienced in cinema. I was actually tearing up in the theater the first time I saw it.

Man... What a blow. He has a great attitude about it (I actually laughed a lot at his contract joke) but it's a tough road ahead. Godspeed!
