I just saw this tonight. Really enjoyed the send off for Craig and, as others have said, the Cuban operative (Ana de Armas) totally stole the show. The action sequences were great, and it definitely made me emotional to see the end of the era. Excellent entry to the franchise.

I think there are legit cases where someone goes overboard with being PC and it causes real harm, but at least anecdotally it seems to me that the majority of people complaining about wokeness just don't like being held accountable for saying or doing shitty things.

Glad it's been minor so far, and hopefully it continues. Get better soon!

I'm embarrassingly ignorant of how this works, having never served jury duty before (was summoned once but had an easy out, being across the pond)... If you're selected, your employer still has to pay you, right? Edit - Why didn't you want to serve, out of curiosity?

I think I mentioned I had my catalytic converter stolen within two weeks of moving here (about two miles from you, IIRC). For all of the bullshit pearl clutching going on on Fox News about Portland, there does seem to be a lack of law enforcement here. As a long-time local, are you aware of any good resources (e.g.barticles, books) on the "decline" of Portland? I've heard a lot of people say it has really gone downhill over the last few years but I'd be interested to learn the history from some more objective sources than Fox fucking News.

Yeah this woman also told me that she's on hormones to prepare for freezing her eggs so maybe that's part of it. It came up in the topic about how things were looking for us, because she's wanting to make sure we're on the same page re: kids, futures, etc. Heavy shit for a third date at a climbing gym. Also in a separate piece of drama, I got home from work today and found a summons for jury duty waiting for me.

I went on a date with a lovely lady yesterday. It was only the third time we've been out and the previous times were literally a month ago because our schedules just haven't lined up (she was traveling, I was traveling, work, yadda yadda). At the end she asked me where we stood because she couldn't get a read on whether I was interested or only wanted to be friends. Surprised, I asked why and she said "well you didn't even try to kiss me!". Uhh, granted I'm a bit shy in person, but... Is two dates when you're supposed to try to kiss them? Damn guys, it's a minefield out there.
