To me, the 2080 and 2080Ti are the best cards you can buy. But, at their current prices, I can't justify the purchase with the games I expect to play in the near term. I'm waiting for the 2180Ti. If I had a 970, or lower, I probably would make a different decision. On a side note, I don't know what a "4k30" console is -- it's an arbitrary adjective that is being made up in this thread. Arguing over what a made-up term should mean will never go well.

That is partially true for the PS3 -- later fat models used a combination of hardware and software for BC. While the PS2 slim had issues with some games for BC, all versions of PS2 used hardware for BC.

I still don't understand the desire to buy small "retro" consoles. I can't imagine playing RR4 without the Jogcon -- for me, it was integral to the experience. But, if Jumping Flash made it onto this machine -- I'm wondering how many great games aren't going to make it...

FH3 was so good -- and this demo makes FH4 look even better. Seasons should add more variety to the driving -- and I'm looking forward to the new side content that they've dreamed up. My boys have bother played through the demo twice --and are super pumped for the game.

They do have setups for ~$450 -- but yes you certainly can spend $1,300 (and a lot more) on one. I know there are wheels as low as ~$100. YMMV.

Yes. There are lots of options -- at a variety of price points. I would really love a Fanatec setup, but the cost is too rich for my blood.
