I was thinking of this one...   I can't really justify a $700-800 chair. I'm currently sitting on a fold-up chair at my desk in my office at home.

I feel like shit after sitting for 8 hours on a couch -- due to my poor posture on a couch. I sit for 8+ hours in an office chair almost every day, and feel better. That said, not sure how I would set up a "gaming chair" in a family room though.

A comfortable well-built office chair is also significantly more expensive than a gaming chair.

I dislike uber-dark media. However, I also hate super-deformed teen-anime giggling girls. I'm somewhere in the middle.

I've decided to sit this gen out, waiting to see if DLSS/Ray-Tracing provide any gaming benefits.... If prices make sense, I plan to jump in whenever the next gen cards come out.

I forced myself to do it in one sitting. Only took about an hour -- plus I ended up with tons of skill points. I think I had about 120 sitting unspent at one point. I was getting frustrated with one of the dailies -- that was to get 3 "trading paint". Sounds easy, but every time I was racing, I couldn't seem to get one. And there was NO traffic in the open world. I drove for almost an hour without seeing a SINGLE NPC car. I toggled off "Horizon Life" and traffic just appeared around me -- literally materialized around me. Very strange. Took me about 30 seconds to get my 3 trading paint skills.

Yes helped quite a bit. I used the Raptor, with a base max of 5.0 multiplier, which skill song made 10.0. I spent my time doing drifts in fields with small trees/low fences -- so I could slide sdeways into them (to max the number of Wrecking Ball, Sideswipe (sp?), Lumberjack and Ultimate Drift/E-Drift skills).

Apparently the sound is mono at the moment as well.

Getting the 7M skill points points was a pain. I played for a bit on the weekend and was at 5M -- logged on last night and the number had reset! I played for 2 hours last night, and only actually did 2 races! Still, it is just so much f'ing fun to drive around in this world.

Average is much better than "god-awful" -- which is what the Raiders are this year.

I think people need to read the article. I have no doubt that people work crazy hours at Rockstar Games -- however, this article doesn't really deal with that in any substantive way.

I had not realized that I had stumbled upon one of the last bastions of support for public television. Remember that the magic of public television is only possible due to your generosity. I hope all of you have made generous gifts this year.

As long as you have a modem, from Comcast you should be good. I use my router with my AT&T modem that they provided. I would be careful buying the low-end Netgear modem if you have a lot of Wi-Fi connected gear in your house, particularly if you have multiple people streaming/gaming at the same time. Their higher end routers would be ones to consider. I have also heard great things about the Asus routers -- but don't own one (yet). Hoping to set up an AiMesh network in my place -- and hoping their AX routers aren't ridiculously priced. Edit: Netgear released a "v2" of their R6700 router mid-last year that has downgraded (i.e. cheaper) internals. YMMV

Forza Horizon 4 -- This game just has so much to do -- and every moment is gaming bliss.

If you have multiple people gaming on Wi-Fi at the same time, I would consider something faster -- maybe an AC3200.

My kids will love this.

I would have thought that a big priority would have been to shrink the die to lower cost.

The XB1 controller is almost a requirement for getting good lap times in Forza MS 7. But I agree with @The def star, the rumble triggers are the best (only?) feedback that your rear tires are losing traction under acceleration, or you are locking up your brakes. They make a big difference.
