Confirms the bad lag... (Although, surprisingly the highlight lots of lag on the XB1X version.)

I have used one of the new streaming services, and they aren't that great. 1) They claimed to be 1080p/60 - but it looked blurry to me, and frame rate didn't seem to be a consistent 60 (felt like less than 60 on pans) 2) Lag was better than I expected, but still noticeable 3) Because you can't buffer video, every hiccup in my internet resulted in macroblocking 4) Sound was mono 5) Basically required a wired ethernet connection, when I switched to Wi-Fi quality was terrible 6) Required 25Mbps for a 1080p/60 stream, I guess it would require 100Mpbs for a 4k/60? This assumes that I am the ONLY one doing anything on the internet. (i.e. no one else in my family is streaming anything). And I can only imagine what this would do to my data cap...

It took me about 20 times to actually get through. My status is "pending" for the alpha. Apparently, there are blocks available on Dec 8th/9th.

I was always a "computer gamer" before getting into consoles with the PSX/Saturn. While I enjoyed Sega's arcade ports, I never felt they truly made the adjustment to making great non-arcade games. I ended up trading in my Saturn a couple of years in (the only console I have ever traded in). The western (primarily European) and western-style (i.e. MGS) developed PSX games are really what drove me to that platform (I I can honestly say that I never understood the reverence that Dreamcast seems to hold in the hearts of a group of gamers. I tried playing a Jet Set Radio game -- and hated the controls. I played Crazy Taxi -- and found it a fun/ interesting novelty that wasn't robust enough to be a full-priced game...

I bought a few non-gaming things: Ecco Kenton Oxford Shoes (Regular $200, Paid $90) August Smart Lock and Keypad Sengled Smart LED Starter Pack (Regular $99.99, Paid $69.99) My unfinished basement is primarily lit by bulbs that are powered by pulling a chain. Since the kids play down there frequently, I wanted them to be easily able to turn on the lights.
