They still have a long way to go to demonstrate that being hardware agnostic is a "financial winner" -- I haven't purchased a single PC game from the MS store that wasn't published by MS. They are getting $0 of my cross-platform spending ATM.

MS has been very clear that all of their future games will run on PC.

I have to admit, that your feelings echo my own concerns. I had hoped that BioWare Edmonton's trademark storytelling would get into the game -- but it appears that it largely hasn't. But you're pretty brave posting in this thread. The Anthem defence force isn't open to anything but glowing praise about Anthem.

As of Monday, my save wasn't there. I will see if it's there later today.

I took advantage as well, and decided to buy the game because I didn't want my save locked behind an impassable wall. They later came out and promised people would be able to keep playing their saves -- which they haven't been able to deliver. And they promised an "update next week" -- not a solution in the next week. If you're playing a single player game, locking you out of your save for more than a few days really sucks. If they weren't going to take a long time to free up your save -- they shouldn't have promised to let you have it.

I bought the game already... Having it unavailable for months doesn't really do anyone much good. Particularly, if they were actively playing the game. I can say that playing locally was noticeably better than streaming -- controller lag, framerate, image quality and stereo sound.

What makes Crackdown 3 a premium title?

I have an older version of the HyperX Cloud Revolver, and am very happy with them. Relatively good sound quality for the money (certainly not audiophile quality, but you won't get that for this $$$), very comfortable and works either with PC (plugged directly into the PC) or console (plugged into the controller). Can't comment on the microphone because it has sat in the top drawer of my desk since the day I bought them.

If I was in the market for a monitor, I would try to scrape together the $$$ for an ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ -- or figure out a way of waiting for better/cheaper options to become available.

I don’t think there is a good 4K HDR monitor other than what you mentioned. I haven’t seen a FreeSync monitor that is even close to 1,000 nits of brightness.... Note: As a comparison, LG OLEDs are ~540 nits (and have been criticized for not being bright enough). Most Freesync HDR monitors I have looked at are in the 300-350 range.

About 5 hours in - and played a little bit of the ship content. So far the story feels a lot better than the disappointment that was Origins. The levelling feels so bloody slow, particularly since the interesting combat options seem to be all trapped behind level progression.

The Origin Premier version doesn’t have the 10-hour limit.

So I am still playing Forza Horizon 4 -- mainly just doing dailies and weeklies until the next DLC comes out. 169 hours in... Hope to spend some quality time in AC:Odyssey this weelemd. I'm expecting to enjoy it a lot more once I unlock more of the combat abilities.

You're right -- Forza Horizon 4 was the best game of last year. But, GoW was pretty frickin' awesome.
